“The bed and drawers are great however the lights on this bed are terrible. This is my second time purchasing this bed and both times I've had this bed the lights stop working after about a month. Very disappointing! If you want the bed for the lights don't buy.”

Lights stopped working after 2 months

“Bed and storage were exactly what I wanted and good quality for the price. Only complaint is that the LED lighting stopped working after 2 months. The whole reason I bought this headboard was for the lights and now they don't work. Tried trouble shooting and still doesn't work. Don't buy this headboard if you are buying it for the lighting.”

Good bed frame but not sized right

“It's a beautiful bedroom set but the bed frame is to big for the mattress there is at least 2 inches bigger then a king mattress.”

Beautiful bed but NOT a reading light.

“The bed is beautiful and sturdy. The drawers glide easily and smoothly. No 5 stars because the “reading” light in the bookcase headboard is any thing but and one of the reasons I chose this bed over another I was thinking about was for the reading light. First, the light (no matter the color - there are 3) is not bright enough for reading. It is more an mood light with remote control to set it for flash, strobe, fade or smooth. Definitely not for reading. The worst thing about the light is that the remote does not work when you are laying down! The remote receiver is in top of the bookcase headboard so you have to stand up (unless you have abnormally long arms) to change the light setting. Plus, there is no “sleep” option to have it automatically turn off after a period of time. The lighting was not well thought thru. It would have better to simply have an on off switch built into the headboard.”

Lights will fail, shins will bruise

“Like others have written, the lights on mine stopped working a few months after purchase. Changed the battery on the remote, no luck. Agree with others, the bed frame is at least a couple inches too wide and short for a king-size mattress and is noticeably visible. Due to this, the corners at the foot of the bed protrude and are wicked sharp. You WILL bruise your shin(s) at least once. Otherwise, solidly built and the storage drawers and cubbies work well.”

“This bed and this collection is trash! I ordered this bed and the entire bedroom set to go with it sight unseen, which was a HUGE mistake. I was under the impression this would be made with real wood, it's not! It's particle board with a picture of distressed wood. The king sized mattress does not fit, there's a 2 inch gap on both sides, the edges of this cheap crap are sharp, and will scratch you if you accidentally run into it!
The quality is garbage, it's like if Ikea and some ghetto rent-a-center decided to make a furniture collection together. I wish I could return it, but after contacting Ashley Furniture, they said once I signed for it, it's non returnable, so I had to unbox it all and keep it!
I've been buying Ashley Furniture since the late 90s, I trusted this would be nicer than what it is, but it's a huge lesson learned. Avoid this collection like a plague. It is not worth the price or your time!”
