Poor quality

“We purchased this Abinger sleeper couch with sectional a year and a half ago. Upon arrival the cushions were misshapen, and different sizes (height). Was sent two replacements. Within a couple months, it was squeaking, and the cushions get stuck between the the bottom front board, constantly having to adjust them. Not to mention, it makes it uncomfortable to sit on. The squeaking is embarrassing when we finally do have company over and they sit down. The material pills. This couch is mostly used by our teenaged daughter, who weighs about 100 lb., and our two kids are not allowed to sleep on the couch. I am not happy that we bought something that needs to be replaced a year and a half later. I want this picked up and refunded. I continue to come here to make reviews, and find my review is taken down every single time. It’s no wonder there is only ONE good review of this product. It’s because all the bad reviews keep getting taken down. I’m a business owner. We stand behind our work, and most definitely cannot remove bad reviews if we were to ever get one.”

Disappointed

“While the staff at our local store did go above and beyond, the product we purchased was even less than we could have imagined. Disappointed is an understatement. After purchasing the warranty along with the insurance, the Abinger 2 piece sectional sleeper sofa and chaise set was destroyed in less than 6 months in a smoke free, pet free home. 1.) The pullout bed frame in the sleeper sofa snapped in half while company from out of state was staying and dropped them into the floor under the couch itself!! Very dangerous and embarrassing 2.) The seam of the front panel on the arm rest has completely detached. 3.) The stitching in the fabric on the arm rest has pulled apart and is literally hanging in shreds. 4.) The broken bed mechanism prevents the cushions from sitting in the proper place so they sink down past the wooden frame making it uncomfortable and unusable. 5.) The fabric on the seat and back cushions have piled and created scratchy, unsightly fabric balls. 6.) No matter how many Velcro strips we add to the chaise cushion it WILL NOT stay in place. We filed a claim for the 1 year warranty and it took 3 MONTHS for the service technician to come. Just for them to explain that it’s unsalvageable and leave within 5 minutes saying someone would call within a few days. Almost two weeks later, there still has been no contact from the warehouse or the store. This was a huge first time purchase and I am hoping that this issue can be resolved soon. But as of right now, I am just a dad desperately wanting to spend time in my family room with my family.”

“We purchased two Abinger sofas two years ago, and the material on the front has already started coming apart—clearly a sign of poor quality. Despite having purchased a protection plan, we were told this type of damage isn’t covered. Buyers, beware: Abinger products may not last more than a couple of years, and the protection plans are essentially a scam. Very disappointed with the quality and the lack of support”
