“So overall I guess not the worst sofa I have ever owned but, as someone who has really only owned Ashley furniture, I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the quality. I bought this sofa in October of 2022. On the back rest you can feel a nail already starting to pop out. The fabric below the cushions is very thin and I am not sure how long this will last. It would be nice to have a little more flexibility in adding an arm rest to the couch or chase to use separately for different configurations. The cushion on the chaise does not hold up as well as the cushions on the sofa and love seat and is already starting to sag. The ottoman which really only holds our feet is also already starting to sag which is sad as the ottoman costs $500, you would expect better craftmanship. Our previous couch was a recliner duo that we owned for almost 20 years and the cushions held up better. I have bought another couch from Ashley that is more configurable and spent as much on one couch as I did on this sectional, I hope that the quality on that is better than in this sectional.”

Look elsewhere, super underwhelming

“You will feel the cheapness of the material. Is it super comfortable? No. Does it feel like bits of foam from the inside of an old beanbag chair stuffed into squares then wrapped in fabric? Yes. Is it the worst couch I’ve ever had? No. But for 1500$ is it worth the price at least? No. Don’t make the same mistake as me, look elsewhere if you’re dreaming of a plush, warm and inviting sectional couch because this is none of those things. Stiff, not very aesthetic and bottom of the barrel materials. The back cushions can’t even be removed, they’re sewn into the couch itself so if you don’t like their positioning, tough luck. I’ll be looking to sell this underwhelming mess asap, seeing as Ashley doesn’t do returns (of course right?). Bottom line, steer clear unless it’s all you can afford. Even then, you might get something more comfortable second hand or at another retailer for the price. Likely won’t be shopping with Ashley again after this underwhelming mess.”

“This sectional is so comfortable, I love the way it looks and the material is soft! I’m obsessed with the platinum color! Some say the couch is too hard or uncomfortable but I find the cushions the perfect amount of firmness. I also have not noticed any issues with creaking or the pieces moving around. My only minor complaint is that the chaise cushion is not as firm as the sectional and loveseat pieces which is a little annoying but not a major issue. Overall a great sectional at an affordable price!”

“I was skeptical not knowing what I was getting online. I’m happy I made the purchase. The sectional gives you so much seating space. The back is perfect to lean back on. Your head is supported which I felt was important. The material and the cushions are great. They are not stiff or soft. I think they are great you don’t want anything that won’t last by having them soft. My family and I are very pleased with the sectional. I actually purchased the ottoman to complete my living room and looks perfect. highly recommend the sectional with the ottoman. Great quality!”

Cozy, lots of room!

“We really like this couch. It wasn’t my first choice and is a little puffy looking for my taste (I just like a firmer, trimmer couch I guess), but the price was right and my husband really liked it. It fits well in our room and really makes it cozy. There’s tons of space, the cushions are not too sinky, and so far everything is holding its shape. The seat cushions do slide out but the back cushions are attached/not removable covers. It seems like a solid, sturdy couch that will hold up, although the arm rests definitely seem hollow and so there is a strict “no sitting there” rule in our house. 😅 Btdt. Anyway, we bought the lighter color that is warmer/more beige than I realized under showroom lights, but it is greige enough that it still works in our room.”

“I got this sectional back in December. It’s a nice looking sectional but it is poorly made. The seems are ripping out and on the back cushions where my dog lays his head to look out the window. I would assume it’s from the extra weight or pressure. I would not recommend for anyone who has children or pets. It is not durable.”

“I bought this couch a couple of years ago and every one of the cushions is sinking. The cushions also do not stay in place AT ALL and I am constantly having to push the seats back under the back cushions. It's hard to clean and not very comfortable on top of that. Save yourself the time and headache and look elsewhere.”

Great sectional but pricing/billing not handled properly

“While I'm happy with the Ballinasloe Sectional I received, I'm not happy with the price / billing aspect of this. I paid approx $1,600 (including delivery fees and taxes) and the delivery receipt which I got after the sectional was delivered had much less price than $1,600. I contacted the customer service and talked to 3 different contacts (including the manager - not mentioning the names here but I have those). One of them tried to contact a different team (while putting me on hold) to try and help me with the best price possible but the call got abruptly disconnected. I am hoping that Ashley should honor the lower of the 2 prices quoted and provide a refund to me.”

Poor Quality Sectional, Even Worse Customer Service

“Piece of crap sectional- avoid!!! Have had for 14 months and 3 of the cushions are already sagging (and we are fit, healthy adults). Our prior couch that we owned for nearly 8 years from Ashley Furniture was great which is why we decided to shop Ashley Furniture again when we were in the market for a sectional. Greatly disappointed and customer service did not seem to care. Very hard to get in touch with and representative was not helpful/did not care. Truly seemed like she hates her job- was not even friendly to speak with. Worried that Ashley Furniture quality has gone downhill. Will most likely not purchase a new couch from Ashley due to the awful quality of this one. A couch at this price point should last more than 14 months.”

“I've owned this sofa for LESS THAN four years and it has already fallen apart. The back of the chaise is broken and other parts of the sofa are sinking in. The upholstery is also terrible quality. This is the worst purchase I've ever made.”
