“I would give 0 stars if I could. Fabric pills to being threadbare within months. Ashley’s only solution is to continually send new cushions until the customer gives up. The reviews are all correct saying this is HORRIBLE quality. The couch is no longer being manufactured because Ashley knows this is a reoccurring issue but they will do nothing to fix it. Horrible couch. Horrible customer service. Save your money and go to IKEA. It’ll last five times as long.”

“Not worth the price. Looks great for a couple months then the weave fabric starts to fuzz and pill, even with just moderate use of the couch. Only two (100-150lb) adults using the couch for 6 mo and it looks like we have had it for 2 years. We are constantly (at least once a week) having to rotate and turn all the cushions to ensure nothing looks more worn than others. Pilling is not covered in the extended warranty purchased as its "normal wear and tear" Spent over 3k to have brand new furniture look like we have had it heavily used for years. Salesperson didn't mention the pilling would happen or that hair would get trapped in the weave. A friend went to the same store, diferent salesperson and was shown similar style with different material options and told about the fuzz/pilling so she could make an educated decision about spending 3-5k on a couch.”

Material pills within months! Not worth it!

“After owning an Ashley reclining sectional for many years that lasted through my 3 active kids I was quick to return to Ashley to purchase the more modern looking Tanavi sectional when I was ready for a room refresh. Imagine my disappointment when within months of light use the fabric on the cushions as well as the ottomon(anywhere my husband and I touch or sit) was balled up and pilled. After less than 6 months of use it looks worse than the old sectional that I traded in! The material is either defective or simply not suitable for use on a piece of furniture that
will be sat on. Very disappointed in Ashley this time!”

Terrible Couch - Do not buy!

“This is the worst couch purchase I have ever made. This couch will pill the minute you sit on it or honestly even if you don't sit on it. I have had this couch in my home for 2 years and the couch has widespread pilling, even in areas that we do not sit. I have spent hours removing the pilling only for it to come back widespread within a week. Will not be buying another couch from Ashley furniture. They also have had the worst customer service, basically after you buy the couch it is your issue the company does not care about the quality and will tell everyone that pilling is not a defect like all the other reviews on this model. Can't beleive this couch is still being sold after so many complaints. The amount of widespread pilling is not okay after a short period. Such a waste of money.”

Great aesthetic, terrible fabric quality

“We have had this couch since October. The couch is beautiful and exactly what we wanted, but the poor quality was soon revealed. Within the first two weeks we noticed the fabric had some pilling. No big deal. It was minimal enough to pick off. By week 4 it was on every surface of the couch that is touched by normal sitting. It is so bad that it made the couch look old and dirty. Our couch I just made 5 months old. The pilling is out of control. Our couch has normal sitting and use, but it looks like we’ve had it for years. We have one open end and one arm end. The cushion on the arm end is completely flat and sunken. Totally different quality than the other cushions which are still fluffy. The amount of feathers coming out of the cushions is beyond normal. If you sit, you will get up with feathers on your clothes. If you don’t use this couch and it’s for aesthetic purposes only then go for it, the couch is beautiful. However, if you plan on actually using it don’t waste your money if you are looking for something you want to keep for a while. Our previous couch was almost 15 years old. The only reason we purchased a new couch was for the modular option and we wanted something larger. We will be lucky if this couch lasts us 5 years”

“I regret this couch. All of the cushions are feather and they have to be rebuffed constantly and they’re heavy. If you buy this couch expect to get sweaty before you can be comfortable. If you don’t fluff them, they’re flat and hard. Often on a slant based on the last persons shape. Awful.”

“I wish i had read the reviews before buying this couch and spending over $3,000 on it. I’ve had it for less than a year and the lint pilling/ lint balls is insane !!! they do not hold up and on top of that they slide so easily, the coushions do not stay in place. Very disappointed will have to find a new couch somewhere else soon since i will have to replace this one.”

“The worst purchase ever. While the look and the aesthetic of the couch is awesome and the size is perfect the quality of this couch is laughable. “I can’t suggest buying this couch. It’s my biggest big purchase regret EVER. The cushions fell flat within 6 months, despite rotating them, I had to buy a mattress topper and cut it to size for the couch to be comfortable, and the fabric is terrible it pills SO BADLY. I wish I could return this monstrosity but here we are…. Ugh.”

“Beautiful and modern sofa. Until you get it home. Within one month the fabric was pilling and it looked like we had it for many years. The did exchange it for a brand new sofa. Unfortunately the same problem again. They have a nice modern sofa with a poor choice in fabric.. we will be asking for a full refund at this point. Very disappointed 😔”

“I’d give it 2.5 stars. We’ve had this couch plus the ottoman for 4 months now. Love the look of it and comfort is good. The reason for only 2.5 stars is that the fabric is now pilling horribly. This is super disappointing considering that it’s still a new couch and probably gets sat on 4-5 times a week.”

“I read soooo many reviews about this couch before purchasing, and despite all the negative reviews, I thought “no, I can handle it, it’ll be fine.” ITS NOT FINE!!! I’ve had this couch for over two years now and it looks AWFUL! The pilling is so much worse than you can imagine, and every cushion is falling apart. All the zippers are busted, cushions are busted. (I did buy the warranty, they just didn’t fix anything.) This couch makes my whole house look dirty. I’m actively searching for a new one as we speak. The cushions lost their form almost immediately, just do NOT buy this couch.”

“This sectional can look nice once it’s first delivered, but within a month, if you are not exclusively only sitting on throw blankets but even then the material will bead up like crazy and will need to be shaved at least every other month, which takes at minimum five hours. When I purchased it, the sales lady said that there were contracting brackets on the bottom to keep the pieces from sliding around, she lied. so you need to constantly be pushing them back together even if you have them against the wall with the nonslip padding on the bottom. I could understand these issues if this was a $500-$1000 couch but at this price point, this lack of quality is just ridiculous. I would give anything to be able to return this…”

“Sadly this couch pills so quickly and is a nightmare to upkeep. If you want this to look nice you need to use a fabric shaver all the time and constantly adjust the cushions. Our sales lady did not warn us at all. When I tried to return it they would not let me either. Very comfortable, but terrible fabric and the cushions need constant adjustment as they always slide out of place”

“I’ve had this couch for 2 years now and we still love it. I was surprised to see all of the negative comments. Yes the couch does pill some but I purchased a fabric shaver/lent remover (Amazon, $9.99) and I go over the cushion about once a month. We also remove the cushions about every two months to wash them. Our only complaint is that the cushions slide off so we are always adjusting them.”
