“After waiting over two months I finally received this bookcase. The first shipment I received was scratched up and clearly a return as the packaging for the glass shelves were obviously opened and then pieced back together. Now I see why - more on that later. Its really beautiful, exactly what I was looking for - and as pictured. It should have taken mere minutes to set up, however, it took ALMOST THREE HOURS TO ASSEMBLE.
The metal of the bookcase arrives as one piece so all you need to do is to place the glass shelves onto the unit. Herein lies the problem. The shelf supports are not truly square, so the glass shelves do not fit. I needed to use a rubber mallet to pound the metal into shape to allow the shelves to nest inside. Additionally, there were "tempered glass" stickers on each of the shelves that do not merely peel off. I had to use a scraping tool and glass cleaner to get them off, which added to the assembly time as well. If it weren't for the initial dud and five delayed / rescheduled deliveries, I would have sent this one back too.
