I still decided to order. _ When it first arrived I was so in shock thinking that the stain or paint was the reason why it had SUCH BAD odor. Unpacked it and thankfully, it was the box, not the piece of furniture. _ The assembly process was not bad at all. Having one more person helps while turning it around and putting doors up. Wished the instructions’ illustrations were better. I included a photo of what would’ve helped me understand where to place the two inside walls. Noticed I had swapped their position when it was time to assemble the doors. They wouldn’t align well. So had to put it apart to fix the two inside dividing walls. _ Be aware the illustration shows it up side down for the first few steps. ____ I would have given it a 5 if the instructions were better. But still, glad we were able to figure it out. It is a very nice piece.”

“I knew what I was buying, the details said that assembly was required but I thought maybe just the doors. It required more assembly than I thought. It was easy but didn't make me feel good about the quality of the piece. There was a large crack in the bottom piece but it was the bottom, not seen and I didn't want to go through the process of returning it. The doors are a little tough to align and get the gaps even. I do like the way it looks. We haven't put dishes in it yet but I think it will be strong enough. Just know that it is not a solid, one piece of furniture with higher quality joints. It requires bolts. Like I said, you get what you pay for and I knew what I was getting for the most part.”

“The wood color was a lot darker and less saturated than I expected; the photos made it look like it would be closer to the stain of my floors, but it's a much darker, muted brown. While I'm getting used to that, I'm also subtracting a bunch of stars because of a VERY difficult set-up that required some frustrating modifications on my part: 1) In the second photo, I outlined in marker where one side of hinges came pre-installed about a half-inch too far from the edge, causing the hinges to be bent out of shape. I had to remove the hinges, re-shape them with pliers and a hammer, and reinstall closer to the edge so they would form a 90-degree angle. 2) Since the back is made up of three separate plywood panels, it's very easy for the whole unit to skew slightly out of square. After thinking I could just deal with it, the angle made aligning the cabinets virtually impossible. I ended up cutting a single piece of plywood, cutting the cable runs, and screwing it to the back to hold the whole thing upright 3) The doors are a nightmare to align especially if the body of the unit is skewed at all from either the hinges or the plywood backs. Even the slightest misalignments there will have a VERY noticeable effect on the repeating design on the front if they aren't aligned and if the gaps around the doors are uneven. It took me days to satisfactorily assemble with all the necessary tweaks. That said, if you're able to stick through it, the assembled unit is every bit as jaw-droppingly gorgeous as I'm sure you thought it was seeing the thumbnail. The way light catches the relief pattern and reflects off of my floors and rug to splash back on the opposite side is just stunning to behold. If you can position the unit where it gets sunlight, you're in for a show as the whole cabinet transforms over the day.”

Additionally, the piece did not come with instructions, and the instructions I was able to download didn't match the parts that came with the cabinet.”

“I special ordered this item from a local company and it took six weeks to get. The quality was so bad I returned it. I found Ashley online and tried a second time. This one arrived with a two inch scratch on the top, which was not visible until assembly was completed. Ashley offered a $60 dollar adjustment, or they would send a replacement item. I could keep the damaged piece. Maybe it's shame on me for not taking the replacement, but I didn't want to wait for another replacement, as well as generating all the additional packaging trash.”
