“Love these bookcases and glad for my choice to purchase them! The look of the shelves in these bookcases exceeded my expectations as they do look like real wood. The shelves and entire units when assembled are of good weight, very sturdy. The cross bars in the back are for appearance only and not necessary for stability, which I was glad of because I found it impossible to line up the holes of the bar and support post for the last of the four connection points on both of the two bookcases I purchased. The cross bars are the same length and I think the issue arises because one must go behind the other and therefore ine should be just a titch longer for that extra arc, but is not. After 45 minutes of trying everything I could including disassembling and reassembling with the opposite bar in back I gave up. The tension is enough to hold the bar at the right angle and because they are not needed for support I will live with it and no one will ever know my little secret. Aside from that issue I am very pleased with the look and quality of these bookcases. (Plan ahead: The boxes were very heavy and more difficult than I anticipated it would be to move up the flights of stairs to our loft area by myself so with the second box I was smarter, opening the box first and carrying the components up in separate trips - much easier!!)”

Poor Customer Service!

“The bookcase is great...the service was terrible. I paid extra for the bookcase to be delivered already put together. When it arrived, they had put it together upside down. Rather than fix it, they took it away. I really thought they would bring it back in a day or two with it put together properly. Nope!! They decided to give it to the next person in line for that bookcase and then reordered it for me. 2 1/2 months later, I finally received the replacement bookcase. And by the way, when I called customer service to find out when they were going to bring my bookcase back, all they could tell me was that I was going to have to wait for a new one because I "rejected" the first bookcase. Very unhelpful and very unapologetic for THEIR mistake.”
