“Item is very cheaply made. Bottom cover was half off on delivery and several staples had come out in the box. Material is not textured at all and is a print pattern. The material sheds on everything and the edges begin to fray almost immediately. Have purchased other great chairs from Ashley, but will not buy another Bales product. Might be great for a kids room or basement, but far too cheap looking for a living room. I put wheels on mine and only use as an ottoman.”

“We think they are very comfy. The fabric is slightly deceptive- the texture isn’t real- it’s printed on the material. That was disappointing. They sit much lower to the ground than a normal sofa, which has pluses and minuses. I suppose it’s a nice feature if you have smaller kids because they won’t fall far. My two and 4-year-olds think they make great bouncing sofas. They seem like they hold up to that kind of abuse so far. I’m concerned that the fabric wont survive many spills, and that it wont age well. It looks like it will get the kind of worn look an old teddy bear gets- hard and matted. Also, one item arrived damaged from shipping (the box had ripped open and the plastic had torn thru to the actual sofa, which had been dragged around during shipment) and we were promised a replacement but haven’t received any kind of tracking or any response about the replace piece.”

“Great chair. We bought as an extra seat in the family room for the kids. We didn’t want to buy another small couch or chair and wanted something low key to keep the room looking open and not crowded. We weren’t able to see it in the showroom so took a chance. The color is a oatmeal so matches anything (we had teal and grey so we’re worried). The pillows stay put which was also another concern, but they don’t roll out from under you as long as you have them set properly. The seat is nice and firm but soft so it doesn’t sink. It’s a solid pc so it’s heavy, not easy to move all over which for us is a good thing and since it can double as an ottoman it’s nice that you don’t have to sacrifice the softness or the firmness.”
