“Since the 1st day it arrived we have been sleeping on this mattress instead of our "Cali King". My husband says when he lays on it he body is like conforming to the mattress and doesn't need to constant move around to find his space of comfort. We have a very thin sheet over the mattress and we don't wake up with sweaty backs on our days off when the temps reach 85 easily by 8 am. I would highly suggest this piece for those that want to enjoy a goodnights sleep.”

“The Beautyrest Black Pillowtop mattress is top of the line! First impressions were great - the quality of the mattress is apparent right off the bat. There are handles to help move the mattress (which is incredibly heavy and bulky) which is nice and speaks to the quality as most mattresses don’t have handles. The mattress is firm but not rock hard. The pillowtop is soft and makes laying on it an amazing experience. The pillowtop doesn’t make the mattress super soft and squishy because it’s a firm mattress - it simply adds comfort. You will need deep pocket sheets - it is a very thick mattress and regular sheets fit but they don’t cover the entire mattress which isn’t aesthetically pleasing. Overall, this is an amazing mattress and I can tell it’ll be a great mattress for years to come. Highly, highly recommend!”

Firm with a pillow top is a winning combo

“This Beautyrest Black mattress is by far the most dense and firm mattress I have regularly slept on. As a side-sleeper more often than not, I was skeptical of a mattress of those characteristics. Rarely am I able to solely sleep on my back without it resulting in discomfort in the morning. This has thankfully not been an issue with this mattress. The firmness feels uniform across the surface, and the slight layer of cushion compliments it remarkably well. At times, even allowing you to forget the strong degree of firmness.
In addition to myself, I have had the chance to have multiple guests try it out for themselves, with each of them providing very positive remarks regarding the quality of their sleep. With that, I can easily recommend this bed as a quality firm option.”

I am a big guy, and the support the firm mattress gives me is unparalleled. This mattress weighs a ton, and the quality of the materials is top notch. I don’t wake up in the middle of the night, so I must be comfortable and breathability is optimal. As far as value, this is a top shelf mattress, so you will be paying a premium for such an experience. You spend a third of your life in bed, why not treat yourself and take care of your body?”

LUXE as all get out, but GIGANTIC and HEAVY!

“I was so thrilled to get the chance to try the BeautyRest Black 2024 Line 4 Firm Pillow Top Mattress courtesy of Influenster - and at that time, I had no idea that I was getting a top-of-the-line, $5k+ mattress!! This thing is seriously LUXE (it has 4k nano coils and memory foam infused with diamond particles in it, for goodness sake!)-- and HUGE!!! The thickness measures in at around 17.5 to 18", depending on which part of the pillow top you're measuring, and I won't even venture a guess as to its weight. It does have very convenient and sturdy handles on all sides to assist in moving it, but I recommend making some very strong, robust friends before purchasing -- my husband (6'2", 205 lbs and no slouch!) and I (5'4", 135 lbs and fairly strong/durable for my size) had all we could do to get this behemoth upstairs to our bedroom, and plenty of back pain and body aches to follow the next day!! Fortunately, we had an incredibly comfortable, supportive, firm (but not at all hard!), and luxurious mattress to sleep on and rest out sore muscles when we were done. We both prefer firmer mattresses, so this suits us perfectly and we're both sleeping like babies on it!! I don't notice even a hint of motion transfer (even when our 100lb Rottweiler -- yes, he gets to sleep in luxury with us too! -- gets up and spins around/changes positions), and my temperature has been ideal (I generally sleep hot). Unfortunately, we just splurged on a super high-end, $5k+ mattress from another brand (I'll just say it rhymes with "Beep Slumber") a few months ago after we just couldn't take sleeping on a semi-new mattress that we nicknamed the "torture chamber" (let's just say the brand rhymed with "Stuffy") anymore, and now we're having a really difficult time choosing which new mattress is ultimately going to end up in the guest bedroom rather than ours!! Not a bad problem to have, I suppose!! All in all, this is a fantastic mattress and I highly recommend it after our first few nights of sleeping on it -- the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because we haven't had a chance to really break it in and see how it feels once our bodies adjust to it yet (even the enormous size and difficulty maneuvering it wouldn't have prompted me to take a star away otherwise!), but I'll update this review after we've had it a while longer and it may just earn that 5th star after all!!”

“If you are looking for a luxury mattress with superior comfort and support then the Beautyrest Black 2024 pillow top series is for you. This mattress is very comfortable it conforms to your body and takes the stress off of the pressure points to provide a relaxing and restful sleep. Also the temperature regulation keeps you at a comfortable temperature and the motion regulation is wonderful if you share your bed with a partner. I have not felt my spouse moving around in the bed as he flips from his back to his stomach through the night therefore providing me with much more restful nights sleep. This product is definitely made very well and I definitely would recommend it. I chose the firm pillow top and I absolutely love it. I would like to thank Influenster and Beautyrest for the opportunity to try this product complimentary for my honest review.”

Solid mattress for back sleepers

“I received this product to test for free (thank you)! I will start off by saying this is a very high quality mattress, I can tell just by the materials, there are 13 layers including the coil system. The upper layers include the pillow top and the cooling layers are just below. It has a very soft, silky feeling pillow top (you’ll sleep on a sheet so it doesn’t matter too much. The mattress description claims: a lush, firm summit pillow top feel, this mattress features Triple-Stranded Pocketed Coil® Technology, exclusive temperature management, premium foam upgrades for enhanced cooling and immediate pressure relief, and 4K Nano Coils for our most premium individualized support and motion separation. So I tested each of these.
(1) Motion isolation: as shown in the video, this mattress has great motion isolation. It’s not 100%, it’s also a queen bed not a king bed so you can’t expect full motion isolation. However with the glass test, the glass didn’t fall and barely moved when I was jumping on one side of the bed.
(2) Temperature regulation: this mattress does have a cooling effect, it doesn’t last the entire night but it’s comparable to other cooling mattresses.
(3) Edge support: with pillow top mattresses edge support is a hit or miss, this mattress has really good edge support (maybe because it’s firm). For me, this is the most important because I like to sleep right at the edge and I didn’t feel like I was slipping at all at night.
Overall comfort: this mattress is comfortable IF you like sleeping on your back. People like my husband, who only sleep on their sides might find this painful on the arm that is being slept on.
Overall review: this mattress isn’t for exclusive side or stomach sleepers, it gets quite painful, however if you’re a back sleeper or only roll onto side or stomach for short periods of time, this is a great mattress option. It will keep you cool at night and supported on the side. From the quality and heaviness of the mattress, I would say it will last you a lifetime. Mattresses are quite personal so it’s best to try it out at a store and see if it works for you.”
