Poor quality material

“This review comes five years of ownership. It’s still very comfortable and sturdy. My problem is with the material. I have taken care of it per the manufacturer’s instructions but it has peeled horribly. I did get the warranty and even though I called in the same month of the 5 year purchase because it wasn’t the exact date, the warranty wasn’t honored. I felt ripped off much like my furniture. I bought the matching couch at the same time and it also has begun peeling. My sister bought the sofa and loveseat set and hers has begun peeling.”

Great Looking Chair - Moves Away from the wall

“This is a great looking chair, and very comfortable. Like many higher end theater chairs or 'power recliners' this one moves you away from the wall allowing you to place the chair just 6' from the wall.
Since the KuhlToys studio screening room is very small, having a chair that could be placed close to the back wall was important. Like just about all chairs where the bottom moves away from the wall and the cupholders step down, there is an odd pressure point on the forearms.
If I were to suggest a re-design it would be that padding be built up so that the area in front of the arm rests where the cupholders are would be at the same height at the arm rest. It isn't enough to lose a star since we got these on sale for under $1000 each.
I designed home theaters for many years and will say these are about the best bang for the buck you will find. Even at $1500 retail, you will be hard pressed to find a chair this good anywhere else. My wife really liked the diamond pattern in the back like her favorite Bentley Seats and the classic Channel Purse. I liked the moving headrests, so you can recline and not look at the ceiling.
