Flawed connection design

“The design of how the sections are connected is flawed, there is no locking mechanisms. If pressure is applied to the top of the wedge or non-powered section, it leans back and unhooks. If weight is applied to arm rest with the bolts, it unhooks and tips over. These are safety issues. If you have large dogs that are allowed on the furniture like I do, should the sections become unhooked dog legs can slip in between and lead to serious injury. Similarly, if you have an active child that craws long the top, this can have a similar result. I did sit on the arm rest, it is a common thing, not knowing it would tip over as my couches haven't in the past. My dogs have unhooked the wedge several times in the 3 months I've owned it. Nothing broke, it is just poorly designed and as such, Ashley won't allow an exchange. I give it 2 stars because it is comfortable. If you have large dogs or toddlers, I do not recommend purchasing this sectional or any with similar connections.”
