“Hubby loves this couch. He loves the reclining and being able to sit next to me when he wants. I hate the bulky look of these and find them very stiff and uncomfortable. In order to have any comfort at all you have to recline. They are tall and bulky. I’m so sad I let my husband talk me into them.”

“We have two big dogs, a yellow lab and golden retriever that are both under 3 years old. When we bought this set 18 months ago we said we would certainly put it to the test with those two. I am here to say this furniture is 100% the BEST furniture we have had as far as holding up to the wear and tear from our dogs. They jump on it, wrestle on it, sleep on it, and it still looks brand new. We wipe it down weekly, sometimes even more often in the rainy/muddy weather. It is so easy to clean, the fur doesn't stick, their nails don't damage the fabric at all (which was a huge problem with the microfiber/faux leather furniture). For us humans, the furniture is stylish and comfortable. We love the power recliners, which are strong and support those 85 lb dogs when they want to climb up and lay in our laps.”

“To the people saying there is a difference with firmness and show room, yes there is. Show room furniture has been broken in by all the people who have sat, laid, kids probably jumping, etc. You would hope that your couch is firm upon arrival, lets you know it’s brand new. Break it in, lay on it, and it will become less firm. I love ours. You don’t sink in, provides back support, and maybe the guy whose wife’s feet didn’t all of a sudden touch the ground shrunk or she was sitting different. Couches are amazing and are water repellent, easy to clean. Considering the color, and having kids they do not get dirty. Highly recommend these couches!”

“I love this couch. I'm tall so I like the high back and how it sits. I love how wide the seats are so my child can sit right beside me like she wants to. The material is fantastic. It's soft, any spilled liquid just beads up instead of soaks in, and it doesn't scratch. All pros, especially when you have kids and pets. I honestly can't think of anything I don't like about it.”

“I was really trying to find a beautiful and impressive living room set. I showed these to my hubby online. He went into the store without me (running errands and stopped in)and said that they were really nice. I told him that if you like them to go ahead and get them because he NEEDS recliners. I hate them but whatever. Lol We ended up buying both the sofa and loveseat. It is extremely beautiful and worth the price. However the are rock hard and really really high! Extremely uncomfortable. I have been walking on the constantly to see if they will soften. Only time will tell”

“We just bought two of these, and I wanted to love them but they are so uncomfortable I can barely sit on them. My husband (6’ ) is very comfortable. It could be my height (5’3”) but the seat and back is so firm, it hurts my back. They seem very well made and we bought them because we wanted dual recliners but I regret the purchase. I can only hope they soften over time, but I will still be short and they might always hit me in the wrong place.”

But this is super comfortable I have leg issues and does zero gravity really makes my circulation happy. “Incredibly firm. It is so uncomfortable to lay across because the cushion is raised on both seats. I am 5'7 and when I sit down my feet don't touch the floor. The armrests are also too low so are basically useless and we have to put pillows under our arms instead. When reclined it is nearly impossible to reach the controls on the side so it's hard to sit up or adjust. It's not a couch to sit down casually. You gotta have everything you need in reach before you sit down because it's a whole process getting up again. You cannot get out of this thing easily, you can't control the recline and footrest separately so if you want your feet up expect to be laid back too, as the higher the foot rest goes the lower the back rest goes. Fortunately the neck rest is adjustable otherwise it would be impossible to watch tv while reclined. The only thing I like about this couch is the material. It is water resistant like leather so water just beads up and can be wiped dry. It doesn't collect hair like fabric does and it pretty impenetrable so it's great for kids and dogs.”

“Just right! Arrived perfectly. Does NOT take up alot of space, even when fully reclined! 80" wide and 70" from a wall. Seating width is 62" and no console so you can lie accross it! Most comfortable sofa! Got it yesterday and was able to sit in it much longer than I thought without having to get up and stretch out in pain, yesss, yay! I fell asleep without grouchiness :) I have an arthritic spine and dont leave my house much. Ergonomics in furniture is equally important as aesthetics...we need more of this kind of attention, especially now as technology continues to place our body parts in stagnant positions for too long! Firm! You wont sink down. Headrest is nicely adjustable. The forward head position many recliners put me in is no longer a problem. I can extend my head back when I need too! Lays almost flat when fully reclined. With a pillow under your hips for example, a side sleeper can even enjoy. Can sit upright and use the footrest without falling back. Sand color is more of a taupe. Looks beautiful.Quality stitching and material seem durable! Ive not found a comfortable sofa until this one. Quiet and smooth motion. This sofa was compared to RTG Cindy Crawford power recliner. So glad we chose NextGen 👍 PS my 2 & 3 yr old nephews sat on it and just giggled for quite a while. Stay blessed out there folks!”

The cable that goes to the recliner got snapped and we have been waiting 3months now for a replacement part and the couch has been in the reclined position since January. The warranty place said woukd have February then March and still nothing. If that were to get fixed then overall would give much better rating. It is comfortable and the cleanup is great as well.”

“I bought the recliner, sofa & love seat. I like the look and functionality. However all 3 pieces are hard! I've had them 3 months now and they have not softened at all. The showroom model was not like this. In addition the cushions sit higher than normal and my feet don't reach the floor (I'm 5' 7"). I also ordered a rug at the same time. I cancelled the order when it hadn't been delivered after 17 weeks. I have been calling repeatedly and visited the store once trying to get a refund for it and this has been going on for 18 days! I will never step into an Ashley store again.”

“Pros-looks great on the showroom floor. Functionally everything works. Cons-In previous years we owned the original durapella and it held up to pets and small children. This is NOT anywhere near as durable as advertised. After just a few months we had nicks on arms and seats just from a cat walking across it and humans sitting. A year in, and while I expect certain things with pets, this is not it. The salesman definitely sold us that it was amazing and so durable for our needs were. Very disappointed for the amount of money this set cost. We will see if they honor our warranty we purchased. If I could do it over again I would not have spent the money on this set.”

Ashley Furniture Nightmare! Terrible Service/Product Quality

“Furniture was delivered, and upon first use of the couch, we discovered that it was not fully closing. After inspecting the underside, we found that screws were missing and the misaligned piece was causing damage. Additionally, the couch makes a loud popping sound due to misalignment, rendering the reclining option inoperable. Despite numerous attempts to contact Ashley Furniture and three in-person visits with managers, this issue has persisted since early July. We were assured that a replacement couch would be provided. However, today we received a package containing fabric and screws, but no instructions or new couch. Are we expected to assemble the furniture ourselves? We are extremely dissatisfied with Ashley Furniture's handling of this situation, particularly given our loyalty over the years. Unfortunately, this experience has resulted in the loss of our business. We find this situation unacceptable and disappointing. Our next step will be to contact the Better Business Bureau.”
