“Only issues I have found is +\- 15 seconds to get out of chair from fully reclined. our power went out when reclined, and I had to fall out from the side. Not fun at all. Needs to have an emergency cord or something.”

“I have to say I did not want to keep this chair when it was first delivered. It was not soft and comfy and I felt as had made a mistake. It took about a month, maybe less, but I absolutely love my chair now. I love that I can adjust the recliner and headrest, something I didn't think I would care about. My husband has had some health issues and couldn't sit in his big man's recliner so I've lost it to him temporarily. I definitely recommend this chair. I am a heavy set woman and my husband is heavy as well. We both are very happy with this chair.”

“In general, I like this recliner. The power controls are on the right side and are easy to reach if you are sitting on the right side of the chair. Note that the chair is designed to be very wide, and maybe it's a little too big for me. I'm a medium sized older woman. So, if I sit in the middle of the chair, it's hard to reach the controls without straining my shoulder.”

Both people said they would follow up and email me care instructions but neither emailed nor called me back. Poor online service and follow through. Chairs were great. Online service substandard to poor.”

“Absolutely love our new recliner. We loved it so much we ended up getting the matching couch. We love that both are zero gravity and very comfortable. I love the adjustable head rests and the exerted foot rest. The recliner is pretty firm in the seat area and soft in the back area but I’m hoping it will soften over time. All in all I couldn’t be happier with my recliner and now matching sofa.”

Think long and HARD before buying this chair

“Key word = hard. This collection is hard as a rock. When I sat on it in the store for 20 mins, I didnt get a good feel for it. Once it was here at my house, it took me about 90 mins to realize how uncomfortable it was, which is really surprising considering the thick layer of cushion that it has. I called Ashley within 2 hours of delivery and was told that it was mine - nothing we can do. Horrible company policy - especially if its same day. Many other companies give you a few days. At least let us exchange it for something else, even if we cannot get our money back. You've lost a customer for life. I've already purchased another chair from a different store, so this one now sits in my garage.”

Too firm and uncomfortable

“I can’t find any of the previous reviews that I've written, so here’s the recap: The couch and chair I ordered from Ashley are, without question, the most uncomfortable pieces of furniture I’ve ever sat on—hard as a rock and awkwardly tall. Unfortunately, I was training an employee when they were delivered, so it wasn’t until about three hours later that I had the chance to sit on them and realize how bad they really were.
I immediately called my sales rep, only to be told I was stuck with them. The sales manager doubled down the next day, smugly reminding me there are absolutely no returns, and even suggested I sell them on Facebook Marketplace. Seriously? I paid full price for brand-new furniture and their official advice is to unload it like junk online?
I listed them for half of what I paid, and not one single person has been interested—which tells you everything you need to know about the quality. Meanwhile, I ended up buying a chair from a different company that actually values customers and offers a return window. Imagine that—an actual return policy.
Ashley clearly doesn’t care once they’ve got your money. If zero stars were an option, that’s exactly what they’d get.”
