Decent Option

“I’ve had this sectional for just over a year. It’s held up fairly well. I’m a plus sized woman with an 8yo boy who regularly jumps on and/or off of it, and a cat who prefers to sharpen her claws on it no matter how many other options she has. So, it hasn’t been a particularly gentle year. It looks great considering how much use it sees, and has held up very well so far. Biggest con for me is the arms - they’re so sloppily done compared to the rest of the piece that it’s comical. There’s next to no batting on them. I can walk up and just grab a fist full of fabric because it’s basically just cloth over wood. This also makes them super uncomfortable to lean on since you get the edge of a board right into you. Very incongruent with the tailoring of the rest of the piece. I’ve spot cleaned with the Bissell with no issues, but today the stupid cat decided to drag her behind on the couch and leave skid marks. Washability of the cushion covers was a huge selling point for me (was touted by the furniture store I ordered through). Went to double check the wash instructions and there are none. Checked online and Ashley lists the standard abbreviations for different wash instructions, which is cool, but is literally useless if you *don’t print any of those abbreviations on the piece.* Ended up just throwing them in the washer and tumble drying on low (no tags or instructions inside cushions either) because it was either that or burn them after what the cat did. Came out fine, no shrinkage or other signs of damage. BUT be aware that it takes an act of God and amazing contortion to get the chaise cushion cover back on. The zipper doesn’t go down far enough - it needs to go over the side hump to be able to reasonably come on and off, and it definitely does not. Next time I would probably wash the rest and spot clean that one to avoid having to get the cover on and off, because it’s that miserable of a job. Fix those 2 design flaws (blatantly unstuffed arms & impossible cushion cover) and I’d give it 5 stars.”

“Do not waste your money. Looks beautiful if you don’t use it. This is NOT made for everyday use. Within 1 year, I had to have the arm repaired. Frame makes squeaking sound. Back cushions do not keep their shape. Seat cushions are flat. Chaise piece - the cushion slides out CONSTANTLY and the back cushion then slides down behind it. Terrible, terrible, terrible. This is by far the worst piece of furniture I ever purchased. Not even 2 years old and looking to replace.”
