“My husband and I received the Larkinhurst sofa on 1/25/25. Upon inspection and comparing it with the online picture, the color was brown, not the lighter shade displayed. That was disappointing. There were no showrooms that had it in stock for us to sit on to test comfort. It is quite stiff and rigid especially the seats. It’s pretty much a traditional sofa with some flattering nail trim around the arms and bottom. I like earth tones so it’s an appropriate color for the sitting area I bought it for. As far as being incredibly comfortable to stretch out on with a blanket, it’s not. An ottoman is definitely necessary because the seat area sits one straight with little ability to recline. If I hadn’t spent so much time looking for a set, I would’ve returned it and picked a softer more plush upholstery. I wanted to love it after viewing all the online photos, but it is just a satisfactory piece. The delivery was meant to bring the loveseat with the sofa, but it was forgotten back at the warehouse so we’re still waiting on the loveseat and recliner. The price was right for 3 pieces and hope the furniture has a comfortable break in, like shoes. In 6 months, I will change the 3 stars if it improves.”

“I purchased both the larkinhurst sofa and loveseat for my living room almost 10 years ago. They have held up great. I don’t have a family room, so my living room is where my family hangs out- both playing and relaxing. My only rule has been that no food should be eaten on my couches. Other than that, my kids have piled up toys, built forts, taken naps- all on both couches and 10 years later, they still look great. They have been easy to clean, which has been a plus. The color is forgiving, the back cushions and pillows are easy to fluff, and the seat cushions have held their shape and density. This is the 3rd set of living room furniture that I have purchased in the last 23 years and it has held up better than the other sets. I highly recommend this set for families with children.”

We were able to get it from the local Ashley’s and they delivered it in a few days, which was great. So far I’m loving it. I think the fabric side of the throw pillows is ugly but the other side is the same material as the couch, a distressed leather type of fabric. I haven’t had the couch long enough to review its durability. I would have loved to buy the matching chairs but they’re huge and our living room is just too small. The couch is on the firmer side but comfortable. It’s perfect.”

I love that it has three cushions for seating, and the bottom cushions can be moved around and turned over for spreading out wear. I have young, active grandchildren and the couch holds up well with them. I love almost every single thing about this couch and would still buy it again. The only negative is that the lovely side pillows (thankfully they have zippered covers) that come with it are stuffed with feather pillows which I am allergic to. I ordered new filler pillows online at a different site; afterwards I thought I probably should have contacted Ashley Furniture and they may have switched the inner pillows for me. I have no hesitation in recommending this couch for purchase! The price is great, the product is great (except for those feather side pillows!), and delivery by a local store was easy and great. I have many friends and relatives who like the couch and cannot believe I bought it online. They are also considering buying the same couch.”

I like the fact that the back cushions are attached but the seat cushions can be removed in order to vacuum pet hair and crumbs. The bottom cushions are removable, so they can be rotated to prevent wear, and the top cushions have zippers that allow you to fluff up (my husband always sits in the same place!) or lessen the padding, if needed. Also, our sectional has the extra seat, which can be removed if necessary since the pieces are not locked together. Great investment!”

In the store, this couch felt very comfortable. Once it was in my home it was totally different; hard and stiff. It has never broken in and is terribly uncomfortable to sit/ lay in. It's more of a couch that you would put in an office for people to wait on. So upset and disappointed with this purchase. Wish I could exchange it .
