“We purchased the split system as that was what we had with our previous mattress and felt it would give a little extra support in the middle. When pushed together, the frame is not as wide as the mattress, so we had to pull them apart so that each side was even with the mattress. They need to relook at the sizes of these foundations to ensure they are the right width for the mattresses. Other than that, they look nice and seem to be well constructed.”

“My husband and I have purchased Stearns and Foster mattresses and box springs since the early 1980s. Our 1st mattress and box springs lasted 20 years. When we purchased our 2nd, it was during covid and we blindly bought the Reserve Hepburn Plush mattress and box springs. I wasn't as thrilled with this purchase. The plush really wasn't firm enough, and the box springs fabric on the bottom kept shedding. I finally put a fitted sheet on it to keep it from shedding. Our 3rd purchase was just recently, and we love the mattress and 9 inch box springs, but we do have a 4 poster Harden bed that we were concerned that the height would hinder our ability to get into bed easily. So, we purchased another foundation-- the 5 inch foundation is awesome, and we currently have it with the Hepburn mattress. Someday, we might use it on our bed when we are unable to crawl into the higher one. The company that delivered the foundation took the old one that was shedding, so we didn't have to worry about what to do with it. I just love my Stearns and Foster mattress and foundation. I sleep better at night, and it's just perfect.”

Initially it almost felt too firm, but after a few a weeks it has broken in and feels amazing! I've been doing a lot of projects around the house and every morning we've woke up without back pain. We both feel it's the best mattress we've ever slept on in terms of support.”

“We had a 3 year old tempur-pedic mattress that just wasn't working for us anymore. We slept on a 20 year sterns and foster at a guest house and found it to be way more comfortable. We took the sheets off and took pictures of the labels. We went and found almost the same model in the store, so we decided to order this set and try it out at home. What a difference! This new mattress sleeps amazingly well. I wasn't sure it was going to be worth the price but I'm super happy we bought it.”

I thought we were purchasing a mattress with a reversable pillow top. This one has a memory foam top that is softer than expected and not reversable. After a few nights sleeping it is very comfortable and we will get used to the softness.”

Disappointed by the material and construction

“Not recommending this product at all. The foundation is basically built by very thin wired metal and wrapped by polyester fabric with several wood pieces at the bottom. You can easily find better products with stronger construction elsewhere. If you are looking for a foundation with solid and wide wood slats, as suggested by the warranty of SF mattress, you probably want to look somewhere else. Huge disappointment.”

“So, after so many restless nights tossing and turning with pain in my hip sleeping on a cheap mattress I decided to invest in a Lux Estate, Medium Tight top Stearns and Foster mattress. I cannot believe wait a difference a quality mattress makes. I am now sleeping though the night with very little turning over. I also received the pillow and sheet set that I like so much I am considering buying another set. I only wish I could just buy the sheets but the set includes the pillows. You will not regret making this investment. These are
high quality mattresses. I am considering buying another for our second home. ”
