“I LOVE this bed. I can hardly feel when my partner moves, and he isn't waking up anymore when I come to bed after him. I have ample room to sleep in any position I wish! This bed is, by far, the nicest bed I have ever owned. I have to admit, I almost fell asleep in the showroom I found it in. “We have purchased 2 new mattresses in the past few years, both of which sagged within a short time. So much for being able to even get a replacement with a guarantee. So disappointed in other companies and out a LOT of money. I decided to order a new PT Lux Estate King mattress for our master bedroom since I loved a Queen Stearns and Foster I had ordered for my old master several years ago. It is still a wonderful mattress so I decided to go with another S&F with fingers crossed. I have a bad back and have had issues with sleeping on our previous mattresses. Not so with this one soft top but firm mattress - my back is happy again!”

“The "White Glove" delivery and set up was very professional. The old mattress was hauled away and the area was left clean. The quality of the construction was noticed during set up and we love the attractive blue color and design! 5 star for comfort on our first nights sleep! No more joint pain and far less back pain since sleeping on the Lux Estate mattress! We would definitely suggest the additional option of a pillow top, It is a "must have" and super comfortable! It's nice to finally find a quality mattress and to be able to get better sleep consistently!

“I never thought a firm mattress would take away my back and shoulder pain, but we have been on this mattress (pillow top firm) for a month and we are sleeping better and not waking up creaky and in pain anymore! Also this was recommended by my chiropractor. A win! Warning, it is verrrry thick. Makes my bed too high. I bought another, lower bed frame. Check the dimensions. It is like 18" thick, but worth it. You spend half your life in your bed!”

“For those of you reluctant to spend a few extra dollars let me tell you some things are worth it. I purchased the Lux Estate Pillow Top (soft) and came out of 24 year old S&F Canterbury pillowtop which who can ask for more than 24 years? The new Lux Estate lives up to its seriously, and is very plus and each night my length of sleep increased. I look foward to weekends when I can take an extra nap and sleep in. I am a side sleeper and back sleeper, and had a hip surgery last year. This mattress just seems to conform to my body so easily. The online and telephone team was awesome to work with, and the delivery was super simple. Thanks S&F I am a very happy customer yet again. After 24 years of ownership of my old mattress and now obviously older I realize how much more important quality of sleep impacts my health. I have definitely noticed my quality sleep increase and for that I am very grateful.”

The mattress has been very comfortable to sleep on, and hides any tossing and turning from my husband. We have only had this product for about a month, so I cannot say much about the longevity but it appears to be a quality mattress and base that I expect to last for years to come.”

The pillow top is luxurious while providing great support for us side and back sleepers with very little movement transfer between two sleepers. “I had spine surgery a year ago and I bought another brand mattress just before surgery. It was messing up my spine. I thought I was stuck with it but I went to the store where I bought it and the salesman recommended making a warranty claim. I did and I was approved. I almost bought another brand which looked like it could be a problem. The salesman told me that another store had Stearns & Foster. I am so glad that I checked it out and I ended up buying the Estate Lux UF. At first I thought it was too firm but each day got a little better. It just needs a little time to get broken in. I will be buying Stearns & Foster from now on. The quality and craftsmanship are the best. ”

“I’m a light sleeper and my husband tosses and turns, so with our prior mattress it was rough getting a good night sleep. We are so happy with the new split king lux estate adjustable mattress. It’s soft but firm, and we love that we can put our head or feet up independently. Neither of us wakes up with back pain like we used to and most of all, my husband can move all he wants and it doesn’t interrupt my sleep. The only thing I don’t love about it is sometimes after adjusting each mattress, you have to push it back over a little to the center to push them together. I wish the mattress had a backing similar to a rug for no slipping against the frame so this doesn’t happen. Even with that, still great purchase and experience for us! Easy to order online and the delivery guys were great. ”

“So far we have had our bed a few weeks. We love it. Its comfortable, not hot, and looks great. Our previous bed was a Sterns & Foster; I wanted a high end bed with amazing comfort and it was and lasted a very, very long time. When I got the previous mattress the warranty was 20 years I think, and when they took it away it was like new. There was no sagging, no marks (due to the mattress pads), nothing wrong - just time. We decided to give it a go again. We are very pleased with everything. Delivery was great and the delivery communication. ”

We quickly returned that one and decided to get more serious and went in-store to try out some other mattress options. After many exhaustive options we finally landed on the Stearns and Foster Lux Estate, pillowtop firm. Still, it's hard to judge a mattress just from a quick 5 minute test in a store with sales people hounding you. I am here to say that we've now had our mattress for a full week and it's seriously the most amazing mattress I think I've ever slept on in my life. I will sound like an advertisement, but I also noticed my ongoing neck and shoulder pain has also disappeared. It's a splurge and an investment but so happy we made the upgrade. ”

We tested this bed out in a retail store and my wife said that this was the one. I love how S&F doesn't make the item until you order it, and it hasn't been sitting in some warehouse for a year. My wife thinks it's a little more firm than the one we tried at the store, but she has zero back pain, sleeps completely through the night, and loves this mattress. Me, I could sleep on a rock & be just fine, but even I have to admit, this thing feels pretty stinkin awesome. “I fully expected I’d need time for my new mattress to break in before it was comfortable for me, which I was dreading. But nope, it’s been perfectly comfortable from day one (and my back is grateful)! I’d fallen in love with a friend’s old old Stearns and Foster mattress (did I mention I have back pain?), so I decided to buy my own, and what a difference it’s made. I’d had a 15 year old Sleep Number before, which had broken down and was extremely painful to sleep on. The Stearns and Foster I fell in love with was at least that old and wasn’t broken down, thus my decision to purchase one, and look forward to many years of use.
From the smooth online ordering to the delivery timing and customer service, I couldn’t be happier, so I’d definitely recommend investing in this mattress (for reference, I have preferred a soft mattress before this). ”

We only made one mistake: when the white glove service guys offered to take it upstairs we should have let them. This is one heavy mattress! My husband loved it as well, the perfect level of softness for me not supper soft and not super firm. Only thing I wish it had the option to feel more on the tempur indulge foam and the mattress can be very heavy when I’m changing the sheets. I love the support of the springs. The weight of the mattress is my only con but as far as comfort and quality I’m super happy! I don’t see myself changing this mattress any time soon definitely will stick to the sterns and tempur family for my sleep needs. “We were extremely excited to surcharge the Lux Estate Tight Top Medium mattress from Stearns and Foster after a lot of research including testing out different mattresses in the big box stores. We elected to purchase directly from Stearns and Foster because of the brand reputation - expected a customer and deliver experience that would be far better than the discount box stores. That was not the case - there was an unnecessary month delay in processing our order and the delivery experience definitely had opportunities to improve. That said, the mattress itself is everything we hoped for and as described. the perfect balance of cushion while still being firm and support the back and hips properly, We would highly recommend the mattress. ”

In the store where I was shopping, the only one with the pillow top was the "soft" and I neglected to ask if the med firm came with a pillow top. After sleeping on my new mattress for a couple of weeks, I think the med firm with a pillow top would have been the perfect mattress for me, but I am sleeping pretty well on this one, even though when turning over, I awaken a bit as I am sunk in a bit more and it makes turning an effort which occasionally awakens me. The mattress is 14.5" tall in the King format, and is impressive in its construction and materials. When first installed, the mattress has a distinctive odor, but hopefully the odor will disappear after a short time.”

I actually believe the medium with a pillow top would have been my preference, but was not available to try. I sleep pretty well on this mattress but find I sink in a little more than I expected after laying in one position for a while, so that when I move from my back to side, I lightly wake, but return to sleep as the new position provides me comfort. “Given the price and the reputation of Stearns and Foster, I am disappointed. Within a few months there was noticeable sagging in areas where we sleep. In stead of support, we feel like we are sleeping in a ditch. For a premium brand, we expected quality and durability. The warranty process is a hassle and to find out this isn't covered under warranty. This is not a quality product. I don't mind paying for quality since I planned on keeping it at least 10 years. Don't waste your money on this brand. It was expensive and I will have to replace this soon.”

“I have been a longtime fan of Stearns & Foster and purchased the Estate Soft Pillowtop Mattress in September. Unfortunately, it has been the most disappointing mattress I’ve ever owned. The description claims that upgrading provides “enhanced pressure relief,” but my experience has been the exact opposite.
While the center of the mattress offers comfortable support, the sides sag into a firm dip, creating added pressure on the very areas that need relief. This is especially problematic for someone like me, who has rheumatoid arthritis and requires consistent, well-balanced support. Instead of relieving pressure, this mattress exacerbates discomfort.
I had high expectations based on my loyalty to the brand, but this experience has been extremely disappointing. Regrettably, this will be my last Stearns & Foster purchase.”

I called directly and spoke with an agent and inquired about comfort levels and asked for advice on which would be the best for me. Unfortunately, this specific one was exactly what I didn’t need. “I’ve always been a fan of Stearns & Foster and have owned several of their mattresses in the past, but this particular King Pillow Top Soft model has been a major letdown. We purchased it in August ‘24, and since then, we’ve ended up sleeping in our guest room more often than our own bed — which is really saying something.
The issue seems to be in the support structure of the mattress. While the middle of the bed feels great — soft yet supportive without a big dip — the sides noticeably sink in. This isn’t just typical body contouring; it’s a structural dip that creates a raised hump in the center. It puts our bodies into a subtle “V” shape, resulting in hip pain and a feeling like you’re sleeping on an, unsupportive surface along the sides. I wish the mattress as a whole was crafter equally in the center and sides.
This isn’t what I expect from a premium mattress — especially not from Stearns & Foster.”

“Waking up the next morning, having slept better than I had in years, I knew that I had made the right decision to purchase the Lux Estate Pillow Top Soft mattress. (I am a restless side sleeper and at 58 years old, waking up throughout the night because I'm too HOT, does not make for a good day.) The Lux Estate is not only gorgeous! (Thank you L. Hess for making my mattress) it actually does what the advertising said it was designed to do: I stayed COOL all night long and slept incredibly well, waking up refreshed and without stiffness. The pillow top was kind to my elbows, joints and spine, and surprisingly, I'm not as restless! I absolutely adore my new mattress and I can't stop recommending it to my friends. “Bought a sleep number i10 for a few years after back surgery a cervical discectomy. After sleeping on a Stearns and Foster mattress in an AB&B for 2 weeks and noticed no back pain or hip pain in the morning we decided to get us the Lux Estate medium pillow top king to replace our i10 sleep number bed. NO REGRETS!! My husband wakes up with no back pain and says he is sleeping through the night (no tossing or turning). My hips honestly do not hurt in the mornings when I get up. Noticed as well we do not sweat which has been a blessing as I would have to wash our sheets twice a week before. We highly recommend this mattress💖

“This is Lux Estate tight top Medium is not a true medium when compared to any other brand of medium. This mattress is squishy; very squishy. I would consider it a soft, or medium-soft if you want to stretch the meaning of medium. And compared to medium mattresses of the past, this is definitely a Soft mattress. The floor model in the store where I bought my S&F was much firmer than the one they delivered. When I complained to the salesperson, he said that the floor model has firmed up over time from so many people laying on it, and my mattress will firm up too; just give it time. I feel so betrayed and hoodwinked and will never buy another S&F in the future.”

It has the softness of the pillow top but firmness underneath to support my body. I love that I can swing my legs over the edge and the mattress supports me, and does not collapse under the weight of my legs.

“I had to return a "luxury firm" mattress prior to buying this one because the other mattress was not, in fact firm the way I need it to be & it made my back sore. This Stearns & Foster mattress is really as firm as it claims to be & is built well. Plus, the top surface was smooth & lump-free, which is important on a firm mattress. (That cloud-look texturing you see in some mattress pillow tops is terribly lumpy to sleep on if you get a firm mattress.) I expect this mattress will last a long time.”

“I bought this bed about 4 months ago and I’m honestly so disappointed. It already has noticeable dips where we sleep, and I personally only weigh around 130 lbs so it definitely shouldn’t be caving in this quickly. It started off feeling supportive, but now it’s way too soft and offers almost no structure. For the price, I expected much better quality and durability. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something that actually holds its shape over time.”
