“we have had this mattress for about a week now and love it. it is listed as a firm which i would never have gotten but feels like a medium and the way they do it with the foam and coils we love it. this replaced a mattress that was only five years old and over a thousand dollars more in price and we hated it. so far, we are sleeping on this mattress so much better we are even taking a afternoon naps on it which we never did with the other mattress because we would feel like someone beat us up in the morning so we would take a nap on the recliners in the living room .”

“So far my husband and I are happy with our purchase. We were both waking up with very sore backs using an Ikea mattress. This mattress is much thicker and seems to be much higher quality. We sleep beside each other all night, so we're worried that the middle might sag under our combined weights but time will tell. We were very happy with the ease of ordering and delivering the mattress. Plus taking away the old mattress was a benefit too.”

As Firm As It Gets….

“As stated in the headline, this mattress is as firm as they come. While I appreciate a firm mattress and definitely need one for back support, this mattress felt almost TOO firm. I at no point felt like I was sleeping IN a bed, but rather felt like I was just laying ON a bed. It was hard to get comfortable like that, but it was good for support. Additionally, the cooling aspects of this mattress are GREAT. I am a hot sleeper and this mattress definitely keeps me cool throughout the night, even with my dog pressed against me.”

Hard as a rock

“The mattress we tested in the store was wonderful and so comfortable, the one we received however is completely different. I do not understand how this mattress has such great reviews, I feel like we got a completely different bed. It feels like I am sleeping on the ground every night. I wake up every morning aching and all my joints cracking. I am a side sleeper and it feels like my bones are being crushed together sleeping on this mattress. It is the hardest mattress I have ever laid on. My husband and I waited 3 years to buy a new king size mattress and were so excited and after weeks of trying to be positive about the mattress we can't anymore, it is awful. It's super upsetting to spend 2500 dollars on something that you can't stand and there is nothing that can be done.”

Cool and comfortable

“I received this Sealy High Point Hybrid Firm mattress complimentary in exchange for my honest review. This mattress replaced an inner coil mattress that I had owned for several years. This mattress feels incredibly cozy and comfortable while still being firm and supportive. I was able to get a comfortable night's sleep with minimal repositioning throughout the night. I have been impressed with the durability and quality so far. I have had this mattress for several months and do not notice any decrease in comfort or extremely noticeable indentations from sleeping in the same spot. Another thing I am happy with is how quiet and stable this mattress is. My spouse has chronic pain and moves about quite a bit throughout the night but I do not feel or hear any movement when sleeping on this mattress. Overall I am very impressed and happy with this mattress. I would gladly recommend and repurchase it.”

Longtime backache is completely gone!

“I have had my Sealy Brenham Hybrid mattress for several weeks, and have thoroughly enjoyed the restful sleep I am now getting each night. My husband and I had bought a mattress from a local company a couple of years back, and from week two, were both experiencing backaches and not the most restful nights. There was also a lot of motion transfer, so every time someone would roll over, the other person would wake up. It's been an exhausting few years, but we were hesitant to buy yet another mattress that might be that bad, as it originally had felt really good in the showroom. Enter the Sealy Brenham Hybrid mattress! First of all, the delivery company did a fabulous and professional job of delivering the mattress, even with it pouring rain on delivery day. They made sure it was all set up and ready to go, and were careful not to get the mattress wet, or track water through my house during the delivery process. Once they left, I let the mattress air out for a couple of hours after it having been wrapped in plastic, and looked forward to trying it out that evening. The first impression is that it was so much more firm than our previous mattress. I initially woke up feeling very sore, and not really excited about needing to sleep on it again the following night. By night three, however, I noticed (and my husband did as well) that the initial super-firmness had worn off, and it was actually at a perfect comfort level. We weren't waking each other up by moving through the night, and perhaps the biggest surprise of all to me was that the backache that had been my constant companion for the last few years was completely gone! I felt like the mattress is soft where it needs to be to contour and be comfy, but also has a perfect level of support within to keep joints and bones from settling in weird positions and causing pain. I 100% would recommend buying this mattress if you've been experiencing back issues on your current mattress. It has been an absolute life-changer for us! It is a perfect blend of a traditional mattress (having actual springs) and then having the more modern foam technology (Tempur-Pedic memory foam at the top) to provide an excellent sleep experience. “We received this mattress as a promotion and find it very comfortable. I personally find it a bit too soft for my liking, but I believe that could be remedied by going with a firmer option during purchasing. While soft, it is comfortable and supports well. We had no issues with remaining in the bed for longer periods of time. It also pulls the head away away from from your body, keeping you cool if you are a hot sleeper. Mattress is deeper so it requires deeper sheets, we have an issue with our current sheets sliding off the ends of the mattress. While this isn't necessarily a negative on the mattress, it is something to consider. Overall this is a great mattress, very comfortable and we look forward to using it for years to come!”

The Perfect Solution

“Mattress stores will tell you anything to make a sale. I'm a side-sleeper who thought I preferred a firm bed, and each store I went to affirmed my feelings. One store even double-down, offering me their (typically) most expensive mattress at a steep discount (as it was a floor model). The mattress was my first mattress purchase--extra firm. Before this, I'd slept on hand-me-down family mattresses and dorm room foam ones. This was an investment. Later, my partner (a back sleeper) joined me in bed. He complained relentlessly about how terrible my bed was and how it made him wake up throughout the night and wake up sore. I acquiesced and purchased a topper to make things a bit softer. This helped both of us sleep way better, but I insisted my bed was great. Fast forward a couple more years to this Sealy medium mattress. I was skeptical. I told everyone that it would simply be too soft and that I'd give it to the highest bidder after I reviewed, and then we slept on it... My fiancé missed his alarm, slept right through it. I woke up later than usual, rejuvenated. Our first words that morning were, "How did you sleep." "Amazing." A skeptic, I said, "Well, mattresses are meant to be tested for weeks, not a night." We continued testing, and there were honestly some restless nights, though I think the mattress gets a bit of a pass here. Now, I sleep better than ever, and so does our dog. He used to lay atop the covers and now lays under them, like a human, and we've purchased a little pillow just for him. The mattress delivery left much to be desired, but the mattress was in great condition. It smelled very chemically at firm, and sometimes I get a sniff of it. All in all, this mattress proved to me how ridiculous mattress stores are. As a side-sleeper, that extra firm mattress gave me fits and, no doubt, hurt my fiance's back. This mattress is not "luxury" like a tempurpedic or other adjustable mattress: it's just a good mattress. I sleep better now than I have in years. I struggled to fall asleep and laid anxiously awake, thinking the problem was my mind when, albeit ridiculously sounding, I just needed a better mattress. This one was the perfect choice.”

Great for pain

“I had a no-name basic firm memory foam mattress I paid around $500 for. The difference between it and the Sealy High Point Hybrid is staggering. I have chronic hip and leg pain from an accident, and it's really difficult for me to get into a comfortable position for sleeping. Nothing is ever going to give me pain-free nights, but I've found I am sleeping longer and more soundly before the pain hits, and my body feels better in the mornings. If you've ever struggled with chronic pain, you know any improvement in symptoms can be life changing. I will say it took me a few weeks to fully adjust to sleeping on a different surface. Initially I thought the mattress was way too firm, but now I couldn't live without it. I'm a hot sleeper, and the cooling material that covers the mattress really works! It's cool to the touch all night long. But, (and this is the only negative thing I've found) the cooling material creates a very slick surface that's impossible to keep a sheet on if you roll around at all. I ended up putting a light mattress pad on top to give it the grip needed to secure sheets which negated the cooling factor. I highly recommend this mattress to anyone with lower body pain who needs a firm but extremely comfortable surface for support.”

“We are side sleepers and have been sleeping on this Sealy High Point Hybrid Plush for a month now and we absolutely love it. This is the first time we got a plush. We usually get firm but what a difference! We haven't slept this good in a very long time. My husband and I have back problems and this bed is really good on our backs. We feel more rested waking up and I notice I wake up less in the middle of the night too. This mattress is very well made. It does keep us cool but when we put fitted cover over it, I kinda miss that skin to mattress feeling. But it's ok though, covers are important too. We also used to have a very expensive mattress topper from a very known brand and guess what?! We ditched that. This mattress is all is needed. The Sealy High Point Hybrid Plush has the right amount of density. It is not too soft where our body just sinks in, and it is not firm where it hurts when we wake up. It is just right. “Just a little back ground. Before I received this Sealy Brenham Hybrid Firm Mattress from BzzAgent I used a Beauty Rest for years. It was decent. Never gave me any problems till the springs started poking out. So, I ended up with this one. At first I was apprehensive because it was FIRM and the beauty rest was medium. But this mattress arrived and it has a layer of gel or foam that is super soft and cradles you but it's definitely Firm which i now enjoy. :) this mattress is great. An upgrade from my previous mattress. It's a lot thicker than my old mattress too a few more inches up off the platform. Overall I've enjoyed this mattress, it also stays cool which is nice as I occasionally get hot, but this one I haven't had that issue after a few weeks. If I were purchasing a mattress I'd seriously look at this one, it would be a top choice.”

“I used to sleep on a Sealy pillow top. It was so soft and it literally felt like I was sinking into a cloud each night. After years of doing this I had more and more back pain. My body was soar when I woke up. I received the Sealy high point and I was thinking it would be a soft mattress like my pillow top. It wasn't, it was much firmer with a gel lining that made it softer. I couldn't believe that I was walking up with no back pain. As a runner, I will sometimes run 75 miles in a week. My body gets soar and pain around my lower back had gotten pretty bad. The hybrid mattress really helped with my lower back pain. I wake up feeling more rested than with my pillow top. I find myself sleeping better and spending less time trying to fall asleep and wake up. Supportive and Cooling

“The Sealy Albany Hybrid Medium mattress has been the most comfortable mattress I've slept on to date. It's almost like I have a cloud to sleep on every night but with the support my back and knees need. The cooling is nice, as I am a warm sleeper and have noticed the cooling effect from when I lay down, to even when I turn I get another cooling effect happen. I have noticed that my husbands snoring and also movement throughout the night has declined since using this mattress. That we are getting better support throughout our body. The mattress just molds around us when we sleep. I also can no longer feel him when he does turn at night, the mattress does not move. This has a nice height to it. I have noticed that the sheets need to have the deep pockets on it otherwise it will ride up. But that is a personal issue. Overall I am not sleeping better at night thanks to this mattress.”

Great Mattress!

“I have slept on several mattresses over the years but this one is one of the best. Most recently, I've used cheaper, "shipped in a box" mattresses. Although at the time I thought they were a decent value for the price, I had no idea how much my sleep could improve with something better. The Sealy Brenham hybrid has changed the way I think. Since we opted for the firm variety, it definitely is firm, though not to the point of being uncomfortable. During the night I often can't feel my partner moving on her side of the bed, and vice versa. With my cheaper mattresses, there was so much give at the ends of the bed that you felt like you might roll right on the ground if not careful. This mattress has the same consistent pressure throughout the entire bed. Since switching to this mattress I feel like I am sleeping through the night more often and able to fall asleep faster. I would suggest if you like a softer mattress, go with a different variety of the Brenham. If I were to have any complaints, it would be that the mattress was very heavy and difficult to get up the stairs upon delivery, however, that weight was how I knew it was going to be a quality item. Once it was upstairs in the bedroom, I was very excited to try it out for the first time. Now, I never want to go back to my cheap mattresses, and even luxury hotel rooms could not compare. I can't recommend this enough to people seeking better sleep and improvement from those boxed mattresses.”

Sealy Albany Hybrid Medium Matress

“I tried the Sealy Albany Hybrid Medium Mattress. First off, I want to clarify that I am very specific on what I want from a mattress. I have back pain and shoulder pain quite often, and I try my best to find a mattress that helps eliminate and minimize that. The Sealy Albany Hybrid Mattress claims to be a medium level with memory foam and gel. It also claims to have a protective cooling cover. It also claims to be adjustable base compatible. I was in so much pain daily before this mattress. The previous mattress we had didn't meet my standards. My husband had purchased it online, and I just constantly felt like I was sinking into the mattress, instead of feeling supported. Now with the Sealy Albany Hybrid Mattress, I can actually feel the support the mattress is providing me. I don't feel like I sink into the mattress, so it offers great support to me and my body's needs. I often sleep in various positions. I've found with the Sealy mattress, it doesn't matter if I sleep on my side, back, or stomach. I find it comfortable and supported every way. The Sealy has also made my pillow feel more comfortable. When I wake up in the morning, I actually feel rested now and not sore. It also seems like I'm not tossing and turning as much in the Sealy, and I feel like I'm finding it easier to find comfort and fall asleep faster. Another aspect that I love about this mattress is the cooling cover. My husband gets hot very easily when he sleeps, and he always has a fan on. I've found that the cooling cover definitely provides that extra boost of cool comfort to the body, which allows you to not overheat while sleeping. The benefits to me for owning this mattress are that I'm without a doubt falling asleep faster, finding comfort in every sleeping position, having support to my body, not sinking into my mattress, and not waking up tired and achy. I would definitely recommend this mattress to family and friends or anyone searching for a mattress. If you find yourself to be sore on a frequent basis, lacking good sleep, tossing and turning, or finding yourself sinking into your mattress; then I highly recommend trying the Sealy Albany Hybrid Medium. It has resolved so many issues I was having with my former mattress. My body is in such better condition, and my sleep has significantly improved. I've only ever used the old school inter-spring mattresses, this is my first experience with a hybrid and let me tell you, I'm not going back! Benefits of this mattress are the incredible nights of sleep you'll be getting. This mattress cradles your entire body. As a person with back problems, this mattress is almost ideal for me (I personally like a bed a bit firmer, but it's not a deal breaker), when I wake up , I don't have the nagging back pain from improper lumbar support and this mattress has it, in spades! The 2 inch memory foam on top always feels like the "cool side of the pillow" helping to regulate comfort through body temperature. The only draw back is how thick the mattress is, standard sheets will not fit, just hug the top of the mattress. You'll need deep pocket sheets, luckily they're not too hard to come by. I would totally replace other mattresses in my home with Sealy High Point Hybrid mattresses! I've been humbly bragging to both friends and family about this mattress & even lost my spot in the bed to my (1 year old) napping niece, who no sooner got comfortable and was out like a light! Comfy, with Support - Some Concerns

“We had not bought a new mattress in quite a few years. This one is like an old school spring mattress with memory foam on top. The whole thing was 13" where our old one was only 8" It's really quite comfortable. It says it has medium support but I would say it might run slightly more to the soft side. The top has a very thick soft layer of foam but underneath there is support. It's supposed to have some cooling properties and while it's not hot, I do not detect any specific cooling effect. Maybe because we have an extra sheet under the bedding to help protect the mattress. One thing I do like is that when you sit on it it feels like a spring mattress and not just foam. I do not like all foam mattresses so I really like the supportive feel of what is under the foam layer. I read that this bed has extra support in the center so two people do not roll together. I would say it does a good job of that. It does not tend to sink down in the middle which is a good thing. We put this on the old box spring from our old mattress. We put the box spring right on the floor and this mattress has enough height that it looks like it's on a frame when you make up the bed. The cover of the mattress is a dark color which to me seems a little odd for bedding. I sort of wish it was lighter so I did not have to put something white over it to make it so the dark does not show through. I guess though that does make it a little bit resistant to the look of any stains. I do wonder over time how long this mattress will last. In the past we have always had a regular spring mattress and a separate memory foam topper. The thing about memory foam is that it breaks down faster than springs, so I could see this in a few years showing it's age on the topper. Since it's all one piece it's not like you can just replace the topper. The cover feels to me a little loose on the top already and I wonder if over time it will look even more out of shape. I realize I've brought up a lot of points of concern here but we really do love the mattress and the comfort level. I just have some concerns about how long this is going to last without feeling like the top portion has lost it's shape. Overall it's great right now, I'm just a little concerned about the top portion failing early and as a result having to replace the entire thing earlier than just a spring mattress. Still as it is right now it's very comfy and gives enough support to get a good nights sleep and wake up feeling rested and comfortable. It's way better than what we were sleeping on. We have been looking into multiple options available in memory foam and have visited many stores to try out over 30+ memory foam options. I have to say Sealy Posturepedic Plus Hybrid 14" High Point Soft (Plush) is the best in its class. It has multiple features which suit it really well. The 1st is that I am a side sleeper and Sealy Posturepedic is designed to fit the needs of side sleepers. The 2nd most important reason is that I have lower back pain and my previous mattress was giving me slightly stiff muscles in the morning. Sealy Posturepedic is pressure relief that alleviate aches, stiffness, pain, and sleep apnea by keeping pressure on the mattress consistent across the entire bed. I have been using Sealy Posturepedic for the past 10 days and my morning stiff muscles have slowly declined now and I feel much better in the morning. I also have slight trouble sleeping at night but Sealy Posturepedic has really changed that. I have been sleeping well in the nights now and feel really relaxed and energetic compared to my previous mattress. Because it has motion separation technology which has made the isolation excellent that we don't disturb each other when we change sleeping positions. “Purchased a king pillow top to replace our "bed in a box" foam mattress. We needed more support than the "bed in a box" can provide, so we transitioned to a traditional spring mattress. After just one night, it was so much cooler, more comfortable and more supportive than the "bed in a box". While it's nice for a mattress to conform to your body, it also freezes you in place as you sink into the bed; with the Sealy bed, I feel like I can easily change positions and get the same medium support I need. I've noticed that my pillow is more comfortable too with the spring mattress; it seems like my body is maybe better aligned throughout the night. I had no idea how hot the "bed in a box" bed made me... I usually sweat during the night, but with the spring mattress + box springs, it's so much cooler. It seems easier to maintain a steady temperature throughout the night, so it's all around more comfortable. If you're transitioning from a "bed in a box" foam mattress to a firmer, more supportive mattress, I would recommend sticking with soft or medium firmness. Unless you're heavy/tall, your body will immediately benefit from the firmer support of medium, without potentially waking up stiff if you select the firm support level. The pillowtop on the medium could be a little thicker/plusher; maybe my only criticism. But again - I hate sinking into a bed, and I definitely do not with this. Highly recommend this bed!”

I hate that I paid over $2,000 for this mattress and still feel that I need to remove the covers every day and/or sleep in another bed. Would only recommend to someone who can deal with the odor.”

A wonderful night's sleep!

“I'm normally a stomach sleeper and have a hard time getting comfortable. Both my husband and I have always talked about getting a better mattress. Well I finally surprised him with this mattress. We actually do prefer a softer mattress, but this firm top is actually very soft and I fall asleep on my back VERY easily on this mattress. I will admit, I was told at the mattress store this was supposed to be a cooling mattress, and I don't feel it is cooler. That could be on the mattress store. But I will admit I don't normally sleep on my back and this mattress, I can lay down on my back and pass out. My husband has back issues and says this mattress is definitely amazing. It helps him sleep much better and he does not toss and turn at all. Now if I could just get it to cure his snoring.”

“Have been sleeping on the Hybrid Premium silver chill firm tight top now for over a week. It's not only comfortable, I am actually sleeping throughout the night without tossing and turning AND sleeping cool. Even if/when I wake up in the middle of the night, instead of tossing and turning for up to 3 hours nightly, I roll over and fall asleep within a short amount of time. This firm mattress is not too firm, but gives enough to be very, very comfortable!”

Best mattress EVER!!

“This has been the most supportive and comforting mattress I have EVER owned. Sleeps cool, no pressure points & much less tossing & turning. I'm a side sleeper, but can now even sleep on my back with this. Wish I would have found this long ago, but will certainly consider only this brand if I ever need another in the future. There is nothing I don't like about this & has met all my expectations, & some I thought a mattress could never do. Sealy has proved me wrong this time, for which I am most appreciative. My old bones have never felt so good & going to bed now is something I actually look forward to, knowing I'll get a good rest & waking up without any aches & pains to start my day.
