You have the ability to move it into the perfect position for watching TV, reading and most of all sleeping! If this base holds up over time (25 year warranty) you will be kicking yourself for not splurging sooner.”

“I'll start by saying the frame itself on the highest leg setting is not very stable, it takes away part of the point of getting a temperpedic mattress in the first place, motion transfer. If you sleep with someone else in your bed I would not get this frame until you're tried it on the height setting you want it at. Maybe something is wrong with mine.
The bed tells you, loudly, when it connects to your phone. Twice in the month I've owned it I've heard "CONNECTED TO BLUE TOOTH" "DISCONNECTED FROM BLUE TOOTH". or something like that at 2 and 3 am. Making it announce this loudly seems like a pretty large oversight in case of issues.
The bed speaker has no onboard memory and does not work on its own. The speaker is just a weak bluetooth speaker that plays for your phone. The app itself has NEVER worked to play any of the included sounds or white noise, so I've had to pay for a separate app for white noise. Seems like a large oversight to not include basic sleep sounds and memory for something like this.
The sleep tracking is wrong. There's not much more to say but on nights where I wake up 4-5 times it will register 1. Needless to say if it doesn't even know when I'm in bed the rest of it is useless. I had the situation of having this trial with a sleep study, and it is indeed very inaccurate. The recommendations for sleeping better go from nothing at all, to telling you not to worry about it, to the generic get a work out in today.
In terms of tilting up down, ergonomics, and lumbar support it's fine. The positions aren't that great so I sleep flat, and the zero G setting is very uncomfortable, but I can get into a decent setting for back sleeping.
This is something I'm frankly thinking about just throwing out (non returnable) as it really just doesn't do what it's supposed to. If it was at least stable I'd give it 3 stars as it's just a bed base but it's not and I'm looking to replace it, so 1 star it is.”

What a difference, the powerbase makes in comfort in bed. The immediate relief felt in the lower back, you don’t even realize the stress is there until it goes away. Highly recommend these! My first nights Sleep was better than my last night on my previous Tempur-pedic. We are very, very pleased with the purchase. I’m looking forward to spending more time using the music, massage and the sleep tracking features to both relax, fall asleep and just overall enjoy the wind down experience even more!”

No auto battery backup, remote & app have serious UI flaws

“I bought the Ergo Prosmart power base. I've had it 4 days. This is their high-end adjustable base with all the bells and whistles and yet there are two areas that are seriously flawed, one that is actually dangerous for those with mobility issues.
Cons:
1. There is no battery backup which automatically switches over if the power goes out so that you can use the remote to flatten the bed. If you have mobility issues this is problematic. For example, you are in bed with your knees elevated and the power goes out, you must be able to get out of the bed without flattening it first in order to move the control box input cable from the wall power supply and plug it into a small strip that has two 9v batteries attached to it. Then you can flatten the knees. Keep in mind the power is out so you have to do this in the dark or perhaps by flashlight. For a high-cost bed this seems like a huge oversight and if you buy any sort of high-end electric recliner it has this utility built into the power supply box (as long as you remember to insert the batteries before you need it).
2. The User Input for both the remote and the sleeptracker AI app is seriously lacking and not user friendly. Despite have 4 buttons which can be programed for bed positions, none can be used or will include any of the massage functions. The bed has 3 wave form levels, 3 intensity settings for the head and 3 intensity settings for the feet. All of these make you go in a circle from low to high. There is no way to go down or turn it off other than to cycle through all three levels for each button. If you like the top levels, you have to hit the button 3 times for each. Thats 9 times you have to hit a button to get to the top-level wave form, intensity for the head and intensity for the feet. They provide no way to use a programable button to set your favorite massage setting. There is also no easy way to set the length of time for the massage feature without going through three levels of menus. It's just not user friendly.
3. No trial period so best be sure before plucking down the money.
Pros:
1. There are 4 programable buttons for positioning. Two are labeled fav 1 and fav 2. Two are labeled TV and anti-snore (zZ) but all are programable for position.
2. The waveform massage through sound speakers is amazing, significantly better than zone massage devices in other beds.
3. the lumbar support really adds another super level of positioning comfort
4. The Sleeptracker ai app is nice, provides some additional access to features like massage wave form frequency from 28hz to 88Hx
5. Alexa voice command can be used through the Sleeptracker ai app to set positioning. Unfortunately, it will not accommodate voice control for massage.
I recommend this product if you are not concerned with the Cons and you are willing to shell out big bucks to get the wave form massage. If not for the massage there are other adjustable beds you can buy for 1/2 the price that will also give you a trial period.”

“The air that comes up from the base through the mattress is excellent. Plus I love the bed does so many cool things. I get in bed and put my legs up as far as they will go. That feels great after that I put it flat then lumbar all the way up. It feels so good. Then I use the app to play ocean music to go to sleep with. This bed makes going to sleep so wonderful. The app does a lot more things but I haven’t used that yet. I love this bed even though it was a lot more money to buy. It’s worth every cent I payed. Don’t let the price stop you from purchasing it. I love love it .”

“Probably overkill for what I need and will use, but wow. Adjusting my head, legs, and lumbar section will be handy. I suppose at times in the middle of the night the lights will be useful. Cell phone connection chargers also nice. The bluetooth, being able to pair with my phone and stream music through the base's speakers, all the various calming noises...still fiddling around with all this. I downloaded the app on my phone. I have not started to have this measure my sleeping, heart rate, breathing, not sure if this will be something I want to do regularly but it's all pretty fancy techy stuff for a bedframe. The bedframe itself is very sturdy supporting my Tempur-pedic Luxe Adapt Firm mattress I got with this. The headboard brackets are universal, so they work with a variety of headboards. No regrets!”

“When I purchased my TEMPUR-ERGO ProSmart Base I honestly was really excited and when it arrived and I tested it out I was astonished by the features it provided. I always thought I had a restful night's sleep on a standard flat base but this adjustable base has really improved not only my sleep quality but when I wake up in the mornings I feel more refreshed! The massage features from 20hz to 40hz put me to sleep in less then 6 minutes of laying down on the bed with it going. I have never fallen asleep so fast with it. And right now I am just using my old mattress with it since I am waiting too get my Temp mattress but oh boy when I do get it. If I feel the way I feel right now? I know when I get a real Tempur-Pedic mattress with it I am going too be in heaven. Thank you Tempur-pedic team for creating such an outstanding piece of equipment for sleep wellness! 10/10”

“I am currently VERY happy with the smartbase and am getting some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. However, the purchase and delivery experience left a lot to be desired. Briefly, the white glove delivery service person took one look at our bed and said, “we can’t install it here” and left us with all the boxes unopened for us to assemble the unit ourselves. He was very professional and clearly was in a bind. There was no warning from the website about having the right kind of bed frame or anything before completing the purchase. Would have been nice to know I don’t have the correct kind of bed frame for the smart base. Huge headache to take apart our bed frame to accommodate the smart base. ”

Pros: love love love the vibration feature - really helps getting to sleep. The zero gravity function makes a major difference. Adjustability is great. Night light is nice.
Cons: movement - sure, the mattress itself isolates the motion of the other person, but the frame itself does not. If you toss and turn like I do your partner will feel it through the frame. Sound - Bluetooth feature is cool in theory, but at least for our very nice and modern TV there is significant delay in the sound making it unusable. And yes, we tried to adjust that in the settings of the frame and the tv itself.
Overall happy with our purchase and the cons don’t outweigh the pros at least for us. ”

“I'll start by saying the frame itself on the highest leg setting is not very stable, it takes away part of the point of getting a temperpedic mattress in the first place, motion transfer. If you sleep with someone else in your bed I would not get this frame until you're tried it on the height setting you want it at. Maybe something is wrong with mine.
The bed tells you, loudly, when it connects to your phone. Twice in the month I've owned it I've heard "CONNECTED TO BLUE TOOTH" "DISCONNECTED FROM BLUE TOOTH". or something like that at 2 and 3 am. Making it announce this loudly seems like a pretty large oversight in case of issues.
The bed speaker has no onboard memory and does not work on its own. The speaker is just a weak bluetooth speaker that plays for your phone. The app itself has NEVER worked to play any of the included sounds or white noise, so I've had to pay for a separate app for white noise. Seems like a large oversight to not include basic sleep sounds and memory for something like this.
The sleep tracking is wrong. There's not much more to say but on nights where I wake up 4-5 times it will register 1. Needless to say if it doesn't even know when I'm in bed the rest of it is useless. I had the situation of having this trial with a sleep study, and it is indeed very inaccurate. The recommendations for sleeping better go from nothing at all, to telling you not to worry about it, to the generic get a work out in today.
In terms of tilting up down, ergonomics, and lumbar support it's fine. The positions aren't that great so I sleep flat, and the zero G setting is very uncomfortable, but I can get into a decent setting for back sleeping.
This is something I'm frankly thinking about just throwing out (non returnable) as it really just doesn't do what it's supposed to. If it was at least stable I'd give it 3 stars as it's just a bed base but it's not and I'm looking to replace it, so 1 star it is.”

Feeling 10 years younger!

“We are loving our new bed. I honestly thought I was developing a degenerative bone/muscle disease with my old mattress. Now I’m waking up feeling 10 years younger.
My husband and I kept putting off the expense. One day I saw a Facebook post asking what decisions did you put off that you wish you had made sooner. That’s when I decided to order our Tempurpedic and we got a great price on a nicer model thanks to a year end close out sale.
We are enjoying all the special features and sleep with our feet elevated, heads elevated to help with snoring and the lumbar support which sold us on this model.
In nights when we have trouble getting to sleep, I utilize the massage feature and on board Bluetooth feature and listen to my meditation app. I am transported.
One feature that I was so delighted to discover was the under bed lighting that activates at night. It is a nice safety feature for those instances when I get up in the middle of the night without my glasses.
So yes! We are very happy with our new bed!! Thank you for making me feel young again!

“The Split King with 2 Twin frames is great for partners who want different positions. The 3 motors (head, feet, lumbar) work well and provide multiple variations for sleeping and rest positions. In particular, the lumbar support helps my low back feel better. The Sleeptracker app is informative for sleep stats and the Wind Down programs are great for naps. I like the Wave Form massage feature to help me relax, but I'm not so thrilled with the SoundScape mode where it thumps with the bass beat of the music (but I may try it again anyway!). The Spotify App works will with the built in speaker, but I find my Bose headphones have higher sound quality. Overall, 10 out of 10 for meeting the advertised features.”

“We recently upsized from a queen Sleep Number bed (which we did very much like) to a king bed. After a lot of research into both mattresses and flexible bases (one of the things we liked most about the Sleep Number bed), we decided to try something new. While we opted for a non Tempur-Pedic mattress brand, we were drawn to the King TEMPUR-Ergo® ProSmart® Base given the vast number of features it has, and the fact that it's compatible with other mattress brands. Yes, the price is high, but so far, we have been very pleased with it and feel as though it's worth the extra expense. Having the ability to adjust bed positions was a basic requirement, but this base goes well beyond with the lumbar support, automatic anti-snoring adjustment (can set for both bed adjustment and/or vibration when snoring is detected), and most importantly the wide array of vibration and massage settings. The app is easy to navigate and offers additional sleep and relaxation modes that you cannot access via the remote. The only thing I haven't found (not sure if it exists or not) is a timer to adjust the bed to a certain position (e.g flat) but note that pre-programed routines will go through a variety of bed positions, including returning to flat, as it whisks you off to sleep. While there are other features, such as connecting to your phone to play music or a variety of background noises (e.g. rain, city, white noise, etc.), under bed light, USB plugs, they are bonuses to what is already a fantastic bed base. Lastly, while it was a standard King, they designed it in a way that makes it easy to ship and navigate through your house (basically folded in half in the box, although it is very heavy), and very simple to install and set up (although given the weight, you'll need 2 or 3 people to get it into position after unpacking). So, we had our bed up and running within 30 minutes of arrival. ”

She wanted to be able to raise her leg above her heart to alleviate swelling and pain. The base is amazing at the adjustability. It's zero g position is amazing. My wife is also a very loud snorer. The anti snore feature has almost alleviated the snoring all together. I thought the massage would be basically moot but to my surprise it does a very relaxing massage. We both have enjoyed the sleep tracker ai aswell. It's insight into how we sleep and things to help get more rest have been very helpful. “After using the Tempur-Pedic ProSmart Adjustable Base for over a month, I wanted to share my experience. As someone with two herniated discs in my lower back and one in my neck, I’m always on the lookout for ways to alleviate my chronic pain. Here’s how the ProSmart has fared for me:
First off, the ProSmart is by far the best adjustable base I’ve ever owned. The motors are impressively quiet, so adjustments are almost inaudible. This means you or your partner can adjust your side during the night without disturbing each other, which is a great feature even though I sleep alone.
The lumbar support bar has been a game-changer. I frequently play Dead by Daylight in my bedroom and often sit up with my feet elevated. The relief I’ve experienced from the lumbar support bar is remarkable, and it’s a feature I didn’t realize I was missing with my previous adjustable base.
One of the main reasons I chose the ProSmart was for its massage system. I’ve been accustomed to the massage function on my old adjustable base, which helped with leg, back, and neck pain. The ProSmart offers a more advanced system with various massage settings, including a 52Hz Back Pain function that I was particularly interested in. Unfortunately, I found that the higher frequencies, including 40Hz and 52Hz, didn’t provide much relief for my pain. The only frequency that seems to help is the 28Hz setting, designed for sleeplessness. It’s disappointing, as I had high hopes for this feature.
On a positive note, the app feature that allows you to set a timer for the massage is fantastic. I use the 28Hz setting every night and set it for up to 105 minutes, which helps me fall asleep more easily.
Overall, I still recommend the Tempur-Pedic ProSmart Adjustable Base. While the massage functions above 28Hz didn’t meet my expectations, the overall quality, quiet operation, and lumbar support make it a worthwhile purchase.”

“My Prosmart Base has put me to sleep like a baby. It also made the mattress that I already had feel more firm than it did when it was just on regular box springs. I kept that mattress because it was relatively new. That's actually what I thought I needed and it's been working out nicely.
The sleep setting where the bed raises your head and feet then massages you, then lowers you and massages you until you are flat is amazing. It's like when your mom rocks you to sleep as a baby and slowly tries to put you down. That and zero gravity are the sleep settings that I didn't know I needed.
The app is kind of glitchy and sometimes freezes when I try to turn off the vibrating alarm and that's somewhat annoying. I also wish it had more settings for the vibrating alarm so that it could have different times on different days. Hopefully that's being fixed. I don't really use the Bluetooth speakers because I already have speakers. That and the under bed lighting are features that I don't really use.
I recommend if you want to be put to bed like a baby. ”

“The look of the base is nice and it’s solidly built. The elevation is sufficient. I was afraid that it might not sit me upright enough at first. The only improvements I would suggest is a wall hugger option. It’s a pain to have to get up every time you interact with the nightstand. Also, the audio quality is not the best with the Bluetooth. It could definitely be better. I guess I was expecting surround sound.”

“I got this for my wife's surgery, to make it easier on her getting in and out of bed, recovering in bed, watching tv, etc. This is one of the best investments. I love the zero gravity feature as it does not put undue stress on her hips. It would also be an amazing feature for the elderly to help prevent bed sores. I love the speakers, the vibration. Nothing but love this smart adjustable base. ”

“I look my new TEMPUR-Ergo® ProSmart® Base. Unfortunately, it’s very expensive and probably not affordable for most people. The app is also very confusing. I don’t know how to use a lot of its features and I’m a software developer. ”
