Still irritated over the delivery of the furniture

“I love the oversized chaise. However, I had the worst possible delivery experience. Brandon, the delivery was very professional, polite and efficient. I realize it was probably a long day for him given that my furniture was delivered at 9:30 pm and he still had deliveries to fulfill. I sincerely hope that Ashley Furniture will do a better job in updating customers when their items are not going to be delivered in the promised, agreed upon, timeframe. My furniture was promised between 11 am - 2 pm and the fact that it arrived at 9:30 pm is a complete disappointment. Again, the driver did an exceptional job. The blame is not on him. Do better Ashley furniture. I have been a loyal customer for the last 20 plus years. Every room in my house has furniture from Ashley. I will not be buying anything from your company moving forward. This is completely unacceptable and disheartening.”

“I wish I did my research before purchasing a couch from Ashley’s furniture- This is my first time purchasing from Ashley‘s furniture store, and I completely regret it- I ordered two of these chaises, And upon delivery one came broken, So we had to wait two weeks before we were able to get the second one. Well, within 20 minutes of having the couch in my home, my entire living room smelt like chemicals ! And for two weeks The smell continued. The second Chaise Came after two weeks and immediately the chemical smell got stronger after the new one was brought into my home. I called Ashley‘s and They Told me they would get someone to come out And spray- The guy came to spray the chases did not know what he was spraying. I asked him what it was called. He had no idea. I asked him if it was pet safe because I have animals in my house. He told me he did not know. What the hell kind of company is this? Him spraying did absolutely nothing. The strong chemical smell still lingers and seep out from the Couches. I went to Ashley’s furniture in Secaucus and I was obviously frustrated. I think anybody would be upset about the situation. I’ve had to take migraine pills every single day for an entire month because of the odor and we haven’t used the couch since we got it. I told the manager that And that I wanted a refund and they told me that they could not give me my money back and I was only able to pick out another Couch or they would make sure that it came from a different container and that I would be able to get two new chaises. I ended up getting two new replacement chases and today I received them and they both came smelling like the same chemical smell as the two original ones- we were told that if they did smell not to take them and to have the guys take all four. Well, that didn’t happen because the guy said that they couldn’t fit all of them in the truck so now I’m stuck with the two old ones again. The fact that this is a Health issue and they are not doing anything to resolve. This says a lot about the company.- I know the reviews are great and hopefully the people who bought these couches didn’t have the same situation as me and I don’t understand it fully because the two new ones came exactly the same way- But if you are thinking about purchasing these couches or anything from Ashley’s furniture, I would think twice. Definitely do your research. I am kicking myself in the butt right now for not doing that. Look up VOC formaldehyde Ashley’s furniture and you will see many people complaining about the same thing- Which in 2014 Ashley’s furniture said that they were doing away with VLC and chemicals- Then what am I smelling? Obviously, something seems suspicious.- In customer service is a joke because nobody is able to resolve this situation. What am I supposed to do? Get a third couch and have that couch smell too and have to inconvenience my neighbors and myself that I had to call out of work.- This will be the third time that we would be having an issue-”

Chair was delivered with missing legs, called to get legs delivered and I was questioned if I knew that they were actually missing. They sent a box, there was only one leg inside. We are now almost a month in and still don't have the fully functional chair. We've been long time purchasers of furniture from Ashley but its starting to seem like their customer service side is going away. bummer”

I also was just informed that the return policy is only for 72 hours, so now I'm stuck with an expensive and uncomfortable chair. Extremely disappointing. What a scam of a return policy. Not sure how this chair has so many 5 star reviews.”

“I purchased 2 chaise two legs would screw in and on the other chaise the hole does not have screw grips. I called to report issue and was told they would send replacement legs and I would receive an email to set up replacement for the other. I waited two days never received email I called back and was told a ticket was never open documenting the issue. I was given a number to text to open a ticket just frustrating and disappointed experience overall. The chaise are beautiful nice and cozy but can’t enjoy them”
