“It’s been almost a year. I bought the set at tax time last year. I hate this couch. It’s uncomfortable and the couch bed has terrible bars you can feel through the mattress. I actually came here looking for the couch bed dimensions so I can buy a replacement mattress that will hopefully make it more comfortable. It’s easy enough to clean with an upholstery cleaning attachment but otherwise this couch feels really temporary. At this point I’m holding onto it out of spite for spending the money on it. It looks nice but it’s not.”

“Color is great, height of back is really supportive for my 6'4 husband, seat is deep enough to pull my legs up and sit cross legged, arms are nice and thick so I can sit in those too. However... We were drawn to this couch because of the firm customs. After a few days I noticed the cushions already showing signs of compacting. The arms while thick, seem like they're made of a light wood and don't feel terribly sturdy. We also have dogs so having removable back cushions would have been more ideal, but when they're attached they don't shift and move as much (it is a trade off). All in all, decent value for the couch, but had to take off a few stars because you can tell it will not last long.”

“I'll start out by saying the couch has an attractive appearance and looks like it will be a very nice couch. However, after you spend some time with it and really use it you'll find it's very cheaply made. For instance, today marks the 30th day since I got my sofa. The armrests already creak. You might think "well maybe he's a big fat guy that's too hard on the couch" but you would be wrong. The armrests also don't have any padding on the sides. None. It's just wood with fabric over it. I was pretty surprised by that. Leaning against the armrests is fantastically uncomfortable unless you have a pillow there, which likely explains why the couch comes with 4 pillows. Overall I would say go with a couch that's less attractive and more comfy”

The only thing that we don’t care for is that the fabric on the back and sides doesn’t have any solid cushioning behind it, so it feels very thin. “Literally had the couch for a week and you could hear wood cracking in the couch. Within 6 months basically most of the interior had collapsed. Now the back sinks in and you can’t sit comfortably. “I love my new Calion Sofa (and Loveseat). I ordered it Feb 1, and it was delivered Feb 19. I chose the door delivery, and they carried it into my garage. It arrived in excellent condition. I was replacing a monstrosity of a leather sectional sofa. I decided to go with this linen fabric set because my last three leather sofas all ended up with splits and tears in the leather. This fabric is durable and the sofa and loveseat are really high quality. I wanted cushions that did not just "deflate" in a month, and these are holding up well. You receive four pillows with the sofa and two with the love seat, which is a nice bonus. And, I love the color. I was a little concerned ordering it online without seeing it in person, but it goes very well with my existing area rug, so I did not have to change that out. I did have to cover the sofa with a pet cover because my cat is in the end stages of kidney failure and has accidents. And, my neighbor and his son moved them in to the house for me and attached the blackish colored legs (they arrive underneath one of the cushions on the sofa, and on the loveseat), and you do have to use a drill to screw them on. Very happy with this purchase and thought the price was quite good.”

“We decided to buy this sofa during a Black Friday special and had to wait a couple of months, but it was very worth it! Within 10 minutes of it being put in our dog jumped on it and stayed the rest of the day. Very sturdy and well padded. Arms are flat and can balance a cup and plate. The back will occasionally creak when we sit but it’s a wooden frame so we expect that. Cushions are not reversible but they and the pillows included with the couch can be unzipped and restuffed, making them easy to wash and dry. Perfect couch!”

“Just got it today and I’m very pleased. Delivery/setup was super fast and painless. The couch itself is comfy and while the material is slightly scratchy, it seems durable. Color is pretty true to picture. The back cushions are pretty poofy so if you’re tall you may feel the seat is too shallow, but it works for me. Seat cushions velcro so they aren’t reversible but you could change the positions of them. Slight chemical smell but not awful, I just opened the window for the afternoon and it’s improved. Definitely recommend if you’re on a budget and/or have a small space.”

This is a firm couch - you can hear the springs under the cushions, and the cushions want to slide out a bit. It's very light. This was a good couch for the price and I think it'll hold up well over time.”

“I had been searching for a gray sofa, and found this one online. I didn't like the throw pillows but that wasn't a big deal as I never planned to use them anyway- I had other pillows. When the couch was delivered I was not home, but my husband was. He notified me and expressed that he liked the couch and was satisfied. Great, I thought. However when I made it back home, I IMMEDIATELY noticed that the couch looks more bluish- gray to me. 2 Of the for pillows that come with it are a beautiful gray and mesh well with the teal and sage pillowso I've added. The couch looks great in the room with the colors and decor but it just didn't look as "gray" as the pic online.”

Nice to look at but cheaply made and uncomfortable

“I just bought this for a new apartment. Though it is the perfect size for the apartment and looks nice, it is not very comfortable. The seats are too shallow and there is a gap between the top cushion and the back and bottom cushion. So there isn't any back support. So if you want a sofa that is nice to look at but don't plan on sitting on much, then this would work for you. Otherwise, I would choose something else. In fact, I find it so uncomfortable that I am seriously considering getting rid of it and just buying a new sofa. On top of that I don't think it will last long. I have had it for about three weeks and the bottom cushions are already flattening a bit.”

Very nice solid wood frame sofa

“I bought this sofa in store about two weeks ago. Wanted to use it for two weeks to see how well I liked it. It has very comfortable seating that doesn't sink in when you sit. The sofa is a considerable width 87' which makes it very accommodating for three adults. I'm 6 feet tall and sitting back fully in the sofa it's quite enough depth to allow me to sit comfortably. The sofa is also a substantial weight, cloth sliders are advised for moving the sofa across floors. The cushions release from the sofa with velcro. The only downside is the new sofa pungent smell which is now starting to smell less. Pricing between stores (or online) may vary is an accurate notation, though an understatement. Overall very pleased with my purchase.”

“I really have no complaints about this couch. It is extremely affordable, but it doesn't seem to be lacking in quality. It's comfortable and cushion-y, but not too squishy and actually has some support in it. The fabric is great and is easy to keep clean. It's good size--I'd say it could fit four people of average size pretty comfortably. I also really like that the bottom cushions have velcro to the bottom so that they don't slide out. It's a very simple couch, so don't be expecting anything overly fancy, but that's what I like. All in all, this is a great couch that I can't really say anything bad about.”

Nothing fancy but doesn’t look or feel especially cheap, which fits the Ashley brand well. Only thing I would say is that it is “bluer” in real life than it looks in the pic. Still gray I would say, but more on the blue side than the black side. Will be easy to coordinate with more pieces in the future.”

I'm not a fan of couches with attached back cushions, but it seems you can't really find any with the loose cushions anymore. Our cat likes to lay on top of the couch and I've been impressed with how well the cushions are keeping their shape! The low profile arms make it really comfortable to lay on. This is a pretty good starter couch.”
