Foot rest not high enough

“It's a comfortable chair and nice size. Just wish the foot rest would go higher, it only goes up about 17 inches not the 20 the description says. 3 inches is a lot when it comes to this.”

Cheap junk. Seat springs come off all the time

“The seat springs will not stay attached. I have fixed them, and shortly after they come off again. I do not recommend this chair at all. Very cheaply made”

Not safe

“This chair is not reliable or safe. A wire came loose while the chair was in the up position and now it's stuck up and there is a bare wire under the chair. I can not fix it, as I had ankle surgery 4 days ago, which also is the amount of time the chair has been used. I can't return it because it's 10 days past the return window. So now my only option is to wait 1.5 wks for the repair person from homemakers furniture to come fix it.
What am I supposed to do in the mean time, I can't have my elderly wife lift me off the couch. Will think twice about Ashley furniture in the future.”

Defective and non operable

“Received this chair this morning that I purchased for my elderly mother. I am so disappointed. There is no owners manual to tell how to operate chair, delivery service that assembled did not show how to or make sure chair operated properly. The only thing that works on chair is the back will go up and down and the message feature works. The ottoman will not work and chair will not lift. I have spent all morning with several different customer service representatives . A service claim has been issued to try to resolve this matter, that is the only reason I am giving a 2 star rating.”

Too big for a small elderly woman, but an OK chair

“The chair itself seems fine. It looked pretty durable and the finishing details were fine. My Mom didn't like it because she felt it was too big for her (4'10", 97), so we gave it to my brother.
I would recommend it for a larger person.”

Don’t recommend buying!

“Feels cheaply made. Arms wiggle. Chair scoots every time you get in or out. Leans back too far from the upward position so you can’t sit normal in the chair to even take a drink. You have to sit up and lean forward. Head rest area doesn’t adjust so I have to use a pillow to recline and watch tv.”
