Initially great but poor durability due to lazy construction

“Great form factor, initial comfort and perfect size for our space but unfortunately the chaises are very poorly constructed. The arm side of the chaise is made the right way, canvas base holding up the cushion, reinforced with a metal rod and connected to the frame by straps BUT on the inner side (opposite the arm) the canvas base is just stapled to the wood frame. So at some point the staples will pull out and the seat will sag (as mine now has and I'm just an average guy at 185 lbs) because there is nothing to hold it up. Why build it half-right, Ashley?
I opened it up from the bottom and added some upholstery straps across the base which is supporting the seat for now but looks like we will only get about 2 years out of this couch. Disappointed...”
