“Within the first week of receiving these couches, 2 of the cushion covers totally ripped up the sides. I have the insurance but the process is not easy. The fact that they ripped so easily doesn't give me hope for the rest of the cushions. When you sit on them, they go all the way down. The cushions slide out easily so you are constantly pushing them back in. I've bought other furniture from Ashley, but this couch set definitely is disappointing.”

“I bought this sofa many years ago. It has soft, pillow top arm support and back, but firm sitting cushions. The covering material feels soft, smooth and perfect. When I was pregnant, it felt amazing sleeping on this sofa such that my back was supported when I slept on my side. The arm rest are perfect pillows. Recently, I bought another one for my second home because the sofa is so cheap, it is cheaper to get another one than to move the first one. My kids love it! I've owned far more expensive sofas. In fact, last year, I gave away another Ashley furniture sofa that's only a year old because I decided it was no good. This one is the best! There is one slight drawback. The cushions come out a lot and must be pushed in. But that's totally worth it, the sofa feels so amazing. A recommendation to all sofa manufacturers out there: Why aren't you making full length sofas that are separable into three chairs, especially sofas like this one, which is naturally divided into three parts? That way, it would be so much easier for the customer to carry the sofa when people move houses. Nowadays, it's popular to rent your own moving containers. It would also strengthen the sofa if it is in 3 parts instead of one. Have the sofas have some kind of connecting or fastening mechanism so that after moving, they can be locked together again. The fastener should be easy to detach such that if people mistakenly try to carry the sofa the normal way, on both ends, the fastener would simply unlock and come apart so there's no harm done. Also, if part of the sofa breaks, one can order a replacement part rather than the whole thing. They can also make the sofa longer or shorter by adding or removing center pieces. In fact, all sofas should be made like this so that it is easier on the movers to prevent injuries.”

This is my favorite couch ever. And light enough to move around my house by myself when I rearrange. Btw, my dog is on the couch all the time and the fabric is holding up to claws. “I'm very happy with this couch! I'm 5'9", and can stretch out and nap on it oh-so-comfortably; it's nice and flat, and perfectly firm. I often end up sleeping half the night on it. Seat height is just right, easy to get up from. The legs raise it up a bit so it's easy to vacuum under. Fabric is durable; I keep a cover on it, but one time my "waterproof" cover wasn't, and I was able to zip off the cushion fabric and wash it on cold gentle with a low tumble dry. Just like nothing ever happened! The ONLY flaw on this couch is, as others mentioned, the cushions slide forward; they require a knee-shove back into place every few days. Other than that, it's perfect! I've had it a year now, holding up beautifully with daily use.”

“Bought two of these recently. The strapping on the underside on one was nice, the second one looked like it was done at 5pm on a Friday. Staples all over the place, sone of the underside stapled more inside the couch than along the bottom. ALSO there are no holes pre drilled for the feet, regardless of what the directions state!!! Nothing short of an electric stew driver will work. Large amounts of fabric or some kind of padding on the underside that made screwing the feet in very difficult. Bought Ashley furniture for years, but this was disappointing. Good couch once you get past a miserable install and flip it over so you don’t see a half hearted attempt at stapling.”

You need to break in the couch to your liking. And for sliding cushions, I haven't had a problem yet, but cushion grips aren't expensive... For the price the quality is definitely above and beyond!”

Hair wipes right off with a feather duster. Very durable and soft. Super comfy and good for taking a nap. The way the arms are designed are such that you don’t need a pillow as they thick padded and rounded. Highly recommended.”

“1 star is too many. Customer service with Ashley and the insurance protection company has been shockingly awful. I bought 2 couches and less than 6 months, one of the legs snapped right off. 1 month later and 4 reschedules with the insurance, it’s still broken and supposedly they’re going to attempt to fix it. I told Ashley I wanted a refund because their website states a lifetime frame warranty and to return the couches because the quality is obviously garbage (the second couch is about to break the same way, too) and they have completely blown me off. They said it didn’t cover under their warranty since there’s no way to prove it was a quality issue. Absolutely a joke and hundreds of dollars wasted. Buy elsewhere !”

“Do not buy Bladen sofas. The price is affordable with 12 mo interst free but that's it. We've had ours for 8 months now and there as uncomfortable as when they were new. The cushions slip out and you have to keep tucking them back in. We bought velcro strips to keep them in place. You have to sit sideways to find some sort of spot that's tolerable. We bought a sofa, loveseat, and recliner. The recliner is to say the least, awkward. You have to lean forward while simultaneously forcing your legs downward to collapse the leg rest to its original position. Honestly my wife doesn't even sit on them. Guests that come over have graciously commented they just need to be broken in...not happening. We went to an Ashley store to try them out before buying but they didn't have them on hand.”
