“I've been using this sofa-chaise-sleeper and chair set for about a year now, they're pretty comfortable and durable - I've been sleeping on the sofa more than I have in my bad, and have been quite happy with it - I don't often unfold the sleeper portion of it, and don't really need to, it's a pretty roomy sofa even for me (at about 6'4" tall.) In a way I kind of wish I'd been a little more adventurous and had gotten this in blue for a little more colour, but the neutral grey linen fabric seems to go with just about anything and looks great. And, at my height, I do regret that there doesn't seem to be a way to make this furniture a little higher off the ground, and that there isn't a matching ottoman/foot-stool to extend the chaise part enough (at my height, my feet overhang it), but I can't really hold that against this set.”

“It is relatively comfy on the chaise side, after adding an ottoman to the end for more length. Otherwise, the rest of the seating area has very little support so not comfortable for sitting for more than a few minutes. The sofa bed option is not good. Where there is no support (by the main sitting side) your body sinks in. On the side by the chaise, it is too firm and you can feel all the lines so there's no where comfortable to lie. I would only recommend this for an extra sleeping option for small kids. Not good for anyone bigger. Happy to finally get rid of it now that I'm moving into bigger space.”

“This couch is PERFECT for what we were looking for. We have it in our apartment in a space that we use as a second bedroom / office. The couch is actually more comfortable than you'd think. It is a bit of a stiffer couch and not one that you can expect to "sink into" or anything like that. The couch is great in a secondary room. It would be far from my first choice as a primary couch but in a second bedroom where we occasionally watch TV, it's pretty solid and it's not a bad place to spend even a few hours. The bed is fine too. Again, not good to use as a primary bed (but who uses a sofa sleeper as a primary bed anyway?) I slept in the bed for about a week when my wife had COVID. I didn't really find myself missing my regular bed. Obviously my regular bed is way more comfortable but it isn't like I dreaded going into this bed each night. I had no issue with it and if I had to sleep on it for a month, I would have been perfectly fine with it. I'm quite happy with this couch.”

“I've had this couch for about 3 years. It has held up well and I have had cushion covers on it, partially to keep it clean and because the fabric is very scratchy. When it has been slept on, I added a mattress topper because it is hard and uncomfortable. Definitely not a couch to use for normal living room use nor to have someone sleep on it regularly. After 3 years of regular use it is in nice condition though, which can be hard to find with some cheap couches.”

It is a little stiff but this is because it turns into a bed and it needs to support the weight so it does not warp. When I have someone sleep on it I put a mattress topper to make it comfortable for them. This stiffness is in all sleepers that open that way you can check out the Una and the Tandem from CB2 to crate and barrel I have tried them all . It is a great height for people who have knee issues. It is a perfect size for people with small nyc apartments. I love it!!”

“We've had this since November 2021 and it hasn't got any softer. It says it's a sleeper, but it's one of the hardest things I've ever slept on. I'd suggest getting a foam mattress to put on top of it if you have guests because they seriously won't be able to walk in the morning they'll be so sore. We got this because we have a very small space to fit furniture through at the bottom of the stairwell as it turns, so we had to be very careful about the size. It fit perfect. It's cute to look at, nice style and color.”

“I really like this sofa, and sometimes I’ll even pull the bed portion out just to relax. My only issue is there is a bit of a bump where the chaise portion begins, so lying along the couch itself can be a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise it’s been great. My cat has attempted to scratch it a few times but I’ve been able to stop her, so I’m not certain how it will hold up to that in time. I was also pretty impressed with the way it was packaged for delivery!”

Although it feels a bit unsteady (I’m 250lbs) when sitting so we measured and put 1 piece of plywood under the sitting area (not the chaise) which gives great support and they are absolutely perfect!!! We also purchased a full size cotton mattress pillow topper to use for when you pull the bed out and then the sheet over the topper and it sleeps wonderfully. Caution though be careful as the arm rest feel a bit fragile. I’m so very happy we purchased 2!”

I liked that it came in two color options and it looked like it would fit comfortably in a apartment living room. It came assembled, and was the color and size I had anticipated. The only detail to consider that I hadn't focused much on is the height of the arms which are quite low and are not at comfortable arm rest height. If you don't like the look of the silver bars, then this also might not be a good option because you can't cover it up but the sleeper section pulls out and in very smoothly. On the back of the chaise, there is also a zippered section for you to store some throws or small pillows too! The couch itself is firm, but I plan to use a mattress topper for guests. All in all, veryyyy happy with my purchase for this price and quality.”

This is great for disabled people like me who struggle to get up from soft furniture that you sink into) The pullout bed feature is heavenly for lounging and for having guests. It is accurately depicted, a true gray color, with a simple modern style, and great for watching movies when extended. A few things to note, It does not sit deep, the seat is very firm, the seams on the arms are a poor design feature. There are two metal brackets attached to the interior base of the sofa to be careful of, as they rub on the sofa when opening and closing. We temporarily covered the ends with tape and plan to cut to preserve the life of the fabric. This piece is great for small spaces, and it definitely hits the mark for value and function!”

“I’ve had this less than 9 months and it’s falling apart. The brackets on the top part of the sofa have loosened and are coming out, and the couch is no longer safe to sit on. This started happening after week two. The sofa is also really hard and uncomfortable. At first I thought “you get what you pay for”, until I saw my friend’s new full size, super comfy sectional that was similar in price at Living Spaces.”

“This couch exceeded my expectations. It is a nice quality couch and very comfy. It is petite compared to most couches but works great with my one bedroom apartment. I took away one star because when I pull out the sleeper section - the sections were not fitted correctly and it catches on the chaise section so it won't pull open. It's frustrating that I have to remove all the pieces in order to pull out the sleeper to then fit it all back together. It should just be able to pull directly out.”

“The sofa looks really pretty in a small apartment space. I was so excited to sit on it, It is short but it fit perfectly. Within a few days I noticed lint easily stuck on the couch. Do not put fleece or faux fur accent pillows.the bed part is good for one person, but you have to put most of your weight on the chaise side because the bar is not strong enough and often slips, making the bed fold down to the floor. beautiful couch for a small space and a great price, but may not last forever.”

Unlike other couches within this price range that I have slept and sat on for many hours, my back does not ache when trying to get up from it. Haven’t tried it pulled out as a bed yet as the opportunity has not come up (thanks COVID-19) but I’m looking forward to doing so. My only wish is that it was lighter in color or even white (although I don’t know how I would do with a white couch.) its the perfect size for my 480 sq ft studio apartment and I truly think about this couch when I’m working, wishing I was sitting on it. The only issue I had was when it arrived, it was missing two cushions! Quick customer service call and the cushions arrived in about 10 days without me needing to be home when they arrived. Perfect size at a perfect price and comfort level.”

“Just received my sleep sofa a couple days ago, love it. Went to the store to order it about 6 weeks ago and got talked into a larger (better) sleep sofa. I kept stating it needed to go down a short hallway with a slight turn, but was assured the larger sofa would fit. It didn't.. Had to reject it and ended back at the store ordering the Jarreau. No problems get it into my spare bedroom. So for those people looking for a smaller sleep sofa, look at the Jarreau. It does have a firm seating feel, but the back loose cushions are soft on your back and it's footprint in a smaller room is ideal. Living in a small condo, turning my second bedroom into a extra living space and an extra bed for visitors is wonderful. Ordered a mattress pad-topper for it and as the feet on the sofa lift it up about 6 inches off the floor, I can store the topper under the sofa, our of the way until needed,and it doesn't show. Living in a smaller space you take advantage of every inch. If you have an issue with doors or hallway access look at this one for sure.”

In fact, it isn’t very comfortable to lay down on in either mode. So I decrease one star for that. But it is easy to move as it breaks down into two pieces and three pillows. The pillows are right at perfect height to stretch arm straight out comfortably. This is a very comfortable couch for conversation but maybe not so much for extended TV viewing. My dog loves the lower pillow height so she can see out of the window better.”

“The one thing I don't like about this sofa. The chaise seating area is comfortably firm. I prefer firmer rather than softer because my old sofa is sagging. The regular sofa seating area is not firm and has the potential to sag with a lot of use or weight on it because there doesn't seem to be any springs or support in that area other than the fabric and padding. Having said that, I would still recommend this sofa to anyone looking to furnish a small area. 1) Other than the lack of support in the sofa seating area, the design of the sofa is well thought out (IMO). It arrives in 2 pieces: the chaise is separate from the sofa. When they put the sofa together, the back of the chaise sits comfortably into the sofa section like a jigsaw puzzle piece. 2) The chaise has a zippered pocket in the large footer part of it where they stored one of the pillows during transportation. Pretty handy. 3) Although I'm pretty sure the sofa seating section will sag in the future, I plan on having this sofa re-upholstered with added springs (or something) because it's such a functional piece of seating. 4) Once you extend the fold-able area, it offers a decent amount of sleeping area. I would put a mattress topper on it to smooth out the surface for more comfort. 5) I like that when I have to deep clean under the sofa, I can easily pickup the chaise part and separate it from the sofa to get under the sofa easier with the vacuum or mop. 6) The delivery guys were AWESOME and efficient! 7) The pillows are petite. I'm 5' 2" but I like to be able to lean my entire back and head onto the back cushions. I'm used to a large, traditional sized sofa so when I lean back on it, my head rests on the pillows. But this sofa is so petite that when I lean back I don't have as much support with those petite pillows so I'm looking into getting some taller cushions that are firmer. My teenagers like this sofa! Note: To close the extension back into the sofa, you have to lift the seating part back up and it has to be held up while someone presses the 2 buttons (1 on each leg) to un-lock the U-leg and set it back down. All in all, I would definitely recommend this sofa for anyone looking for seating in a petite area. Yes, I would buy it again.”

“I just got this delivered today. I was worried about buying site unseen to be honest as I could not locate one in a store anywhere near me to try out but the size and color were perfect for my small extra bedroom upstairs and it was on sale. Delivery went great, sofa size is perfect and looks really nice in the small room (a 10x11 extra bedroom). I like that it flips out into a sofa bed. I wish it were a bit softer, not going to lie, but from the reviews I had read I knew it was going to be on the firm side. It definitely is quite firm, but this sofa will be mainly used by my teen for him to lounge on and play his ps4 so it should be good for that and other reviewers said that the cushions break in. Still has to pass my son's test but he is moving from a futon to this so I am sure he will be fine. If you are looking for a somewhat soft sofa, this is not it, but if you like a very firm sofa and a small size, it's good for that. Would I put this in my main living room? No, but great for a game room.”

Exactly What We Were Looking For

“We wanted a stylish transitional sleeper sofa for our living room, and we are very happy with the Jarreau sofa we purchased. The color, a mid-range charcoal-to-steel gray, and clean, tailored lines go perfectly with our other furnishings. We get lots of compliments on the style. If you are looking for a squishy, pillowy sofa, this is probably not going to be your best choice, but if you want firmer seating, this is the ticket. I regularly nap on the chaise portion, and I'm perfectly comfortable. The only discomfort I experience is if I sit half on the chaise portion, half on the next (middle) cushion, because there is a wooden support between the two sections there. That is simple enough to avoid, though. We are buying the Jarreau accent chair to go along with the sofa. We are extremely happy with our purchase.”

“I love this couch. I saw some reviews mentioning it seems smaller than in the pictures and that it was uncomfortable/too firm. Needed a sleeper in my small apartment so I ordered it. I’m so happy I did! Delivery was easy and fast. The couch it’s self is a great size and the seating area is larger than I anticipated from the dimensions. It is firm, but definitely not too firm. It’s comfortable to sit on and the sleeper it’s self doesn't seem too bad. A nice full size mattress topper and it’s perfect for guests. I would definitely recommend this. Great price and much nicer than comparable sleeper sofas from the Swedish competitor.”

“We thought we loved it in the store, got in delivered and it was super firm. The arms are really short, no pillows came with it (maybe because we bought it online and not in store). It was smaller then we thought once we got it in the apartment. Price was okay, you get when you pay for. It seems more of a basement game room kinda couch, not a main living room piece of furniture. Never pulled out the added foot bench so I can't comment on that. My conclusion, it was an impulse buy as we just moved and had no furniture, we thought we knew what we wanted. This was not it.”

“Very firm. Should’ve gone with the softer couch I was deciding between but the sleeper on this doesn’t have springs and is quite comfy for a bed. Chaise is a little too short. They should have added at least 6” - 8” more to the length. It feels awkward. Would be good for. Second room but not a main living space. This works for my space since it’s a small space but wish I would’ve picked the other couch.”

“I was on the hunt for a sofa sleeper chaise that would be comfortable and be small enough to fit in my studio space. When I saw this couch online, I immediately knew it was the one. However, after reading some of the reviews saying it was “too firm”, I became worried that it's going to be uncomfortable. To alleviate my anxiety, I decided to go to an Ashley home store to see and try sitting on this couch in person. When I did, I found that it was actually really comfortable and stylish. There was a thought in my mind that it could be cause it was a floor model and the cushions got broken in. I decided to buy it and see what happens. When I got the couch and sat on it for the first time, it felt kind of firm, but not uncomfortable firm. If anything it was like a supportive firm. It felt fine to me. My favorite thing about the couch is the sleeper pull out option... I use it more often then not, cause why not? Now that I've had this couch for a couple of weeks, the cushions have been broken in a bit and feel even more comfortable than the first time I sat on it. Overall, this purchasing this couch was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and I love it so much. I would 100% recommend buying this couch to anyone who's on the fence about buying it. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star rating is because of it's uncomfortableness. It definitely requires some a adjusting and I would not recommended anyone sleeping on it for more than a night or two.”

I was hoping it would pull out to a full size bed, but it is only 46 inches wide which is halfway between a twin and a full. I will still squeeze two of my friends on it though!”

I like a hard solid surface so this couch meets all my needs, it fit nicely in my living room and I've already had guest sleep over on it. The only thing I can say is turning it into a 'bed' takes two people at this time because it's stiff. At the store it was a one hand motion, but I suppose after more use it will become that way.”

“Before buying this couch I had a cheap $200 one from a local liquidation store. Oh what I would do to get that couch back, this was a terrible buy. Gave it away for free because it just completely fell apart in a year. The cushions are so malformed and constantly slipped off, the chaise slips out of you sit on it, the bed is super uncomfortable especially with the giant bar, and there is no support to keep the middle area from sinking. Save your money and go somewhere else.”

“VERY DISAPPOINTED that you need a special tool to remove the feet. The installers removed the feet to put it in our room. It requires a special tool! We want to move it and do not have this tool. I called customer service, they said sorry and referred us to the protection plan we bought. ProtectALL says sorry they do not cover tools. WE ARE SCREWED and cannot get this couch out of that room. The couch does look nice and is fairly comfortable to sit on. But you do need a mattress if you want to sleep because it is lumpy and uncomfortable. It is very cheaply made. I used my knee to move it a foot and heard a big crack in the paper thin piece of plywood that makes the side. All in all a bit dissatisfied especially in Ashley customer support.”
