“I find at first to be very comfortable however after 2 years since your not able to flip but only rotate both sides have now a huge dip making my neck, lower back and sleep being affected”

“I have the medium, but it is very firm to me. I know mattress comfort and perceived firmness is subjective. I can't find a comfortable position to sleep in that does not leave me sore upon waking. I'm a side sleeper and each night I try both sides and my back. I hoped to get used to it or have it break in a bit, but I've had it about 3 weeks now and I'm no happier”

“Mattress is beyond firm. And I love a firm mattress. I was ready to exchange for diff mattress but the Salesman said it needs to be broken in (alot)! He recommended walking, kneeling on the mattress daily the 1st month to break in. It finally is more comfortable. Just not sure it's worth the $$.”

One year review

“My prior non-Tempurpedic bed was almost 20 years old (the bed was finally sagging and causing pain in my hips and lower back), so I decided to purchase a Tempurpedic Adapt because of all the great reviews. The bed was extremely uncomfortable when I purchased it - like sleeping on the floor. Never realized foam could be so solid. I spent a lot of time in my recliner those first couple of months, which should have been an indication to return the bed. Even though it would have cost me. I thought to wait it out and it would get better. The bed has helped alleviate my hip pain, but I almost never sleep more than 4-5 hours straight any more cause of the pain in my upper back, shoulders, and neck. The only bed I have slept on that I have never been able to 'sleep in'. Additionally, I find it difficult to roll over and will wake up before rolling over. The bed is well made - it's not a cheaply made foam mattress. Just wish it was comfortable. I know that I could have Spent More Money on an upgraded model that may or may not have been softer. Or I could have paid less for a quality pillowtop (inner spring) from a reputable brand. This bed will soon be going to the guest bedroom - nobody will want to stay very long.”

“This is the fourth temperpedic bed I've purchased and I'm frustrated by how much motion isn't obsorbed. When my partner moved, I feel it. Which is exactly why I had purchased in the first place -- so I wouldn't be woken up.”

“Unfortunately, I've found that I have trouble changing positions, I'm 76, have back problems and trouble lifting the mattress to change the bed. One last thing is the brace at the end of the bed. It gets in the way when fitting the sheets and I have to be careful to avoid hitting it. I wish there was a lip at the end of the bed to keep the mattress in place.”

“So far I’ve had the mattress for one month. It is way too firm, I wake up and my hips are sore. I went back into the store and talked to Greg, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will give it another couple of weeks and if it’s still too hard, I will return it and get a soft mattress.”

Mattress is comfortable, but no sheets fit it!!

“I have tried different size sheets, including sheets purchased from Tempurpedic, but none fit well. Sheets "bunch up" wherever I lay, and I prefer a nice tight smooth sheet. Have not been able to find any that accomplish this, no matter the depth size. A topper might help, but when you pay 3k for a mattress, why would you need to add a $300 topper that cannot be returned if it doesn't solve the problem?”

Could hardly walk after 6nights

“While enthusiastic, I was very surprised that after 6 nights 8 could hardly get out of bed or walk. I performed gentle exercises for a couple of hours and then gained courage to walk around a “Big Box” store. The next day the mattress was returned…not for everyone, sorry.”

TEMPUR mattress

“I am struggling with my new mattress. Even though it is 'Medium' it is much too firm. I have not been able to sleep well & frequently have a back ache in the morning & my hips ache throughout the night so I have to turn from one side to the other. I am being told to give it 30-60 days for the mattress to adapt to my body. Very disappointed with this experience.”

It's just "okay".

“I got the medium. Soft hurt my back. Got the tilting frame too. I like to be able to raise my head because of heart burn. After 3 weeks, it's just okay. Not life changing. I kinda wish I had got another bed I liked at the same store. My daughter has a tempur and likes hers. So I decided to try one too. It's just not what I was hoping for.”

I won’t ever own anything but a tempurpedic mattress

“Purchased a 2nd mattress for a vacation property. You cannot put a price on a good night of sleep. I’ve had my other mattress for 17 years and it’s still amazing! I have a painful neurological condition and I literally hurts to sleep on any mattress that is not a tempurpedic. We tried a knock off brand at the vacation home and it was a painful lesson to learn.”

Amazing mattress

“I discovered the mattress because my sister has one and I sleep great when I’m visiting. It took me a few years to decide but back pain finally forced a decision. The mattress is amazing. I went with the low end plain mattress and and super happy with it. It is completely worth the money.
I’d skip the power base and just get the flat one unless money is not an issue for you. I’ve found the power base is best when flat and unplugged which defeats the purpose of it. Base is not returnable so think hard on it. ”
