We chose the split king style so I would not disturb my spouse when i had to get up during the night during recovery. Boy did I miss my mattress. After having a major cervical fusion and a massive thoracic/lumbar fusion in 2023 I decided to treat myself to the Tempur Luxe Breeze and it’s heavenly. I would do almost anything for a good night of sleep so the cost is worth it to me. The Luxe Breeze is everything I loved about my Cloud Luxe without the overheating issues I sometimes experienced. I immediately called customer support to question if there was a mixup. The rep told me there is a break in period and that temperature conditions will impact the firmness. This was never communicated to me ahead of time. It’s now been a month and the mattress is still as firm as day one. I came from two different long lasting Tempur Pedic mattresses so this has been a very disappointing experience.”

Worth it! Expect break-in period.

“Here are the top 3 important aspects I look for in a mattress because I am quite particular about my sleep: 1. Pressure relieve - I am a side sleeper. 2. Minimal motion transfer - I wake up at the slightest movement. 3. Cooling - I sleep hot especially when I always have a fully encased waterproof mattress protector (to protect my investment). Pros: 1. Extremely cooling - even with a fully encased waterproof protector that typically retains heat, the mattress maintains a cooling effect throughout the night. It's amazing! 2. Motion transfer is very minimal. I barely notice my husband's movements, which is a first for me. 3. Easy to clean - love the removable, washable mattress cover that comes with it. 4. The white glove service is a huge plus. This includes removal of the old mattress and box spring, along with professional setup of the new mattress. 5. The mattress is not too thick which makes it easy for fitting most bedsheets (especially ones that tend to shrink over time). Once broken in, the mattress gets softer. 6. After trying numerous mattresses, this is the only one that meets all three of my key criteria. My sister, who recommended it, was able to sleep through the night during pregnancy without needing additional support such was pregnancy pillow. After trying it myself, I was in love. She did warn me that this mattress needs a break-in period. Cons: 1. Break-in period. You have to be patience and persistent especially when the bedroom is cold at night (I keep the AC blasting). The first night was terrible. The bed was stiff leading to soreness in my hips and shoulders the next day. After 1 week of use, I noticed improvements in pressure points as it slowly contours to my body. Now, after about three weeks of use, I would describe the mattress as comfortable (at least 'my spot' is), and it only gets better every night. The other areas of the mattress that has not been slept on is a different story. 2. High price - you get what you pay for. Investing in quality sleep is a priority for me, so I don't compromise on price.”

“Going on a little over 2 years with this mattress and I’m torn with this one. Firstly, firmness options when I purchased, which haven’t changed, are difficult given the investment. If I could describe what I like, I’d say a medium-firm. I visited store fronts multiple times to lay on each option to see if I could get a better gauge and even then was left conflicted. I wasn’t feeling the hybrid during any visit and the soft vs firm attempts flip-flopped on which one felt better that day. Online research did little to help which one would be the best choice given my medium-firm desire. Online, many quoted the “soft” is actually like a medium and the firm is a firm. So I opted for the soft and initially, it was pretty great…firm enough at first with a comfortable amount of sinkage by the time I’d wake up. I figured I’d made the correct choice. Regardless, it still wasn’t a mattress you could spend all day in comfortably which isn’t a total negative in itself…bed is for sleeping so once you wake, get up and out. Fast forward to JUST past the timeframe you can swap out for another option and my sleep experience began getting sporadically enjoyable. The mattress definitely “broke in” to the softer rating. While I can still get some sleep, it became more frequent that I’d wake up sore with my neck and back aching because of how much I’d sink into the mattress…..immediately wishing I opted to try the firm mattress first. So 2 years in, within minutes of crawling into bed, my body sinks into the mattress far too much. Some nights I can fall asleep fast, other nights, falling asleep comes after tossing and turning until I either finally find that sweet spot or I just get so tire of trying that my body passes out. If you love soft mattresses, the soft is right for you once it breaks in. If you’re like me who seeks a medium-firm mattress, definitely avoid the “soft” at all costs. Doing it again, I would’ve opted to try the firm first. As far as the cooling aspect…like others have said, cool to the touch initially. Maintaining a cooler temperature throughout the night…yeah, complete nonsense. Like any memory foam, this things retains heat. Attempting to add cooling sheets/ bed cover are simply a hopefully waste of money.”

We went straight to the store to try out the different firmnesses, feeling very much like Goldilocks and the 3 Bears as we moved from one to the next. With the help of our salesperson, we eagerly selected the Breeze in Soft. His comments steered us to choose a lower profile in height because we wanted our new head and foot boards to be seen. When it arrived I could literally not wait to go to bed that night. I was warned that it would take approximately 30 days for it to "soften up". Unfortunately, it never did. It's been 8 months and I still feel like I'm laying on a piece of plywood with a little bit of cushioning. Did I say we selected the soft? It's not even close. It's also not even close to being cooling in the least bit. I wake up with a sore hip and shoulder almost every day. I've even resorted to sleeping in the guest room sometimes because the bed just is NOT comfortable. I am now looking at and reading reviews on toppers to soften up the feel. At approximately $5000 I feel like I should have a bed that's what it says it claims to be--soft and cooling. I shouldn't have to add a topper either. Hugely disappointing, especially after waiting so long to finally get a Tempurpedic.”

Even after 3 months of terrible sleep (and after already replacing our previous mattress, the Pro Breeze which was like cement) we are stuck with a very expensive mattress that we both hate. It is freezing cold and never conforms like our original Tempurpedic we had long ago without the cooling feature. If you're willing to sacrifice conformity for cooling, go ahead, but the mattresses just don't do both.”

“Yes, it's cool to the touch and pampers the skin the moment you get in and move about. The foam structure material is designed to absorb the heat deep down under and channel heat away from the body. I feel my body getting rid of the heat and in doing so, I think it helps burn calories while sleeping. In the morning I let the mattress air out a little under the ceiling fan before making the bed because heat does get trapped in the material and needs to vent and reset for the next sleep cycle. The mattress itself was over 5 grand but worth it when considering how long it will last and maintain its form and function. When it comes to my personal comfort in bed, money is no object. My last bed was the Cloud Supreme and it did tend to sleep hot but served me well for over 10 years. It was time for a change. I have no regrets!”

I was told by the salesperson that this LuxeBreeze Soft mattress was the replacement to the Cloud Luxe mattress I also have. This was the furthest from the truth, this LuxeBreeze Soft mattress is as "soft" as my concrete driveway! As a side sleeper, this mattress hurts my shoulder so much I can't sleep on my side for more than 30 minutes without having to either switch to my other side or attempt to lay on my back or stomach to sleep. There is absolutely nothing comfortable about this mattress! I have had this mattress over 4 months and have yet to get a full night of restful sleep. I have a difficult time believing this is a "soft" mattress, when it's a firm as this one is. To say I regret this purchase is the understatement of the year.”

After the mattress protector and tempur-pedic sheets, this bed becomes a severe sauna!!! I now use my A/C 10 months out of the year because this bed is so hot. At mattress firm we were told by the sales person the heat wouldn't stay in. We were LIED too!! This bed keeps so much of your body heat in that it's ridiculously HOT! Living in Arizona, during the winter I use 2 floor fans and a ceiling fan with the windows open to try to and sleep comfortably cause the bed gets so hot. This bed is way over priced and don't believe the hype about the coolness technology. I do like this bed over any hybrid or spring bed with my lower back issues when I can get some sleep. The 120 day in home trial is not enough time. Save your hard earned money.”
